i’ve never been so disappointed when eating hawaiian bbq but wow this place was not it. mac salad was warm as hell & plain. i got the surf & turf / bbq meat plate. the shrimp was over cooked & the chicken was fatty & slimey. i gave them the benefit of the doubt despite all the bad reviews but looks like things still have not changed even after a year :(

Inedible short ribs. Mac was bland and wrong. Spam was fine, considering everything else was so gross.

The Mac has no flavor . chicken has more fat and skin then meat . sauce is salty and watery overall 1.5/10 don’t recommend. Spam musubi is the only delicious item they have.

MY FAVORITE HAWAIIAN FOOD IN THE EAST BAY. I'm from Hawaii originally so it's the closest I get to it. They always get the order right and their food tastes amazing! Would def recommend.

I occasionally come here during my breaks since I work nearby and they never fail me! Cashier is always super nice and they always get my food ready in under 10 minutes. I would recommend to anyone who is craving this to head to this location.

Worst Hawaiian bbq ever. The quality of the meat is terrible. The meat is full of fat. And the soda machine is disgusting, like they never cleaned their machines. Do not recommend to any one. Waste of

I have been coming to this restaurant for over 7 years and I have never been disappointed. Mostly I get the Hawiian style BBQ chicken, but lately I have been getting their new Mele Mele Curry Chicken! The food is always consistently high quality. I don't know what brand macaroni salad they use, or if it is an in house recipe, but 1 scoop just isn't enough!Edit: In reference to the review with the complaint about the bland mac salad and skin on the chicken, that is NOT from Ohana Hawiian BBQ. They only use Ohana branded bio-degradable to go packaging.Parking: This restaurant is in the Safeway shopping mall across from Chase Bank. There is usually plenty of parking close by.

Don't go here! You are wasting your money! The musubis that I got had barely any meat! Like what is the point?! They were literally rice musubi, how hard is it to do right by your patrons. It is not hard to give good quality. Never will go back!

Not bad for a fast food place...had the chicken katsu and chicken thighs...both proteins were not bad at all..katsu was fried perfectly and not greasy at all...the chicken thighs were well marinated in their hawaiian/Korean style sauce..rice is rice...not bad...the mac salad tho...plain and almost zero flavor ...it could definitely use more salt....overall a decent spot for quick hawaiian style food...

Well, I don't usually eat Hawaiian BBQ, but I wanted to give "Ohana Hawaiian BBQ" another try after my fair experience at another location. So I was in the area of Alameda's Nobhill Shopping Center, and decided to get takeout from the Ohana place there. I was there during the most ideal time.....just before lunch. Oh yes, that special time when everything is fresh and well stocked. Usually the best people are working. I got the "Chicken Combo," with 2 scoops of Mac salad, and 1 rice. How was it? It was very goodThe Chicken Combo was listed as 1/2 Chicken Katsu and 1/2 BBQ Chicken. Well, that's not what I got, but I'm not complaining. I got served 2/3 chicken katsu and 1/3 BBQ Chicken. That boneless fried chicken was hot, moist, and very crispy. OMG, it was good! They put a big slab of Katsu on top of the Mac Salad. The BBQ Chicken was okay. Good flavor, not salty. Hot, but a little dry. I think that's why they served me more chicken katsu. The Macaroni salad had good flavor, and tasted as it should. The white rice was just clumps, not fluffy and not steaming hot.Hmm, I think I'm addicted to that crispy chicken katsu. Next time, I'm just ordering that. Ohana Hawaiian BBQ in Alameda, CA is located in the Nobhill Shopping Center next to the Fruitvale Bridge. The shopping center is at Blanding Ave & Tilden Way. Free Parking

This is the only place that I’ve ever found that make Spam Loco Moco. 5 stars for that!!!

The food was disgusting. The grilled chicken still had skin on it. The Mac was flavorless and you would find yourself biting into chunks of tuna. The steam vegetables were flavorless and tastes like someone steamed some coleslaw and added chunks of carrots for extra flavorless character.
