Not as good as the original one in Oakland, both in terms of food quality and service. Brisket was tough, steamed egg was burned, dipping sauces had no flavor. Our waitress either had a bad day or she just doesn't want to work there (can't blame her with all the smoke). The only positives are easy parking and bigger space because it's in a nice mall
Terrible service, in fact, no service at all. Nobody at the front desk to greet us.
Oghane in Alameda is my wife and I's go-to for all you can eat KBBQ. Location is nice near the South Shore of Alameda where there's plenty of parking and other restaurants and shops to visit. The wait time varies, but we usually go late, like after 7 pm, so there's usually not much of a wait. Weekends are busier, but if you're a smaller party, the wait isn't longer than 30 minutes.
We always do the regular all you can eat menu, which has the cuts of meat we usually get. We've never tried the Premium, and the other cuts of meat you get don't appeal to us for the additional cost. I'd recommend going with the regular menu, which you won't be disappointed with.
The ambiance is cool. They have some TVs near the bar if you want to watch whatever they're playing. When the main floor is full, they have 2 additional rooms you can get seated in. We're not too fond of them as it seems more enclosed so it can get smokier in there. My only qualm about the restaurant is how slippery the floors can get. It's typical for KBBQ spots because of the grease in the air, but it can be a little sketchy, especially in the bathrooms. The grills could use better deep cleaning, too. You can see built-up grease on the sides of the grill.
We usually just order brisket and short ribs, nothing fancy. We've tried the rib eye steak and bulgogi, which are pretty good, but we just like how easy it is to cook brisket, and we like the marinade and fattiness of the short ribs. My only qualm about the entrees is that the serving size of an order can be inconsistent. We usually ask for 3 brisket, and once in a while, they bring out just one plate that doesn't quite seem like 3 orders. Other times, it's a lot. It's not a big deal since we can just order more, but 5 wanted to point that out.
For the sides, we usually get corn cheese, steamed egg, pot stickers, and once in a while japchae. You can't go wrong with any of them, although once in a while, the steamed egg tastes soapy, as if the dish they serve it in isn't completely rinsed. It's still edible, but the taste can be inconsistent.
Service is always pretty good. There may have been a couple of times when I rang the bell, and it took longer than usual, but someone eventually comes.
Overall, Oghane in Alameda is good for all you can eat KBBQ, and we highly recommend it.
Only AYCE lunches during the week apparently. Confusing signage that is contradictory about allowing al a carte dining. Arrogance of staff who don’t seem to notice or care they have signage that doesn’t make sense. If business was good enough they could surely afford to reprint menu posters with correct info.
I really love the variety of things to choose from. I highly recommend Ohgane.
If you’re looking for an authentic Korean BBQ experience, this is the place. The quality of the meat is excellent—well-marinated and fresh—and the side dishes make every bite worthwhile. One thing I love is that you get to cook the food yourself at the table, making the experience more interactive and personal.
The service is always friendly and attentive, ensuring you have everything you need. Plus, the atmosphere is great, perfect for going with a group and enjoying a relaxed meal. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to.
Unbeatable price for the basic package. We went at 5pm so the place was quite busy but they are very much understaffed. I feel bad because the same guy was taking orders, bringing out food, and making cocktails. He gets bonus points for allowing my table to order more than 4 items at once though.
Honestly, their food here has been fantastic every time I’ve been there except this instance. I’m sure it’s still delicious but the service was atrocious. I ordered in person for a take out order. When I got home, I opened my bag to see a bowl of rice with just kimchi, sprouts and carrots, missing all of the toppings, ribeye, spinach, pickled radish etc. The musubi I ordered wasn’t the one I received. Now I’m not too bothered by that, mistakes happen, but the service surrounding it was truly the worst. I called and asked for a refund or a remake of my bowl the next day when I’m back in the area as I was 1.5 hours away. They declined BOTH. The guy on the phone argued me and told me that isn’t what I ordered because the person who took my order didn’t take it properly. Then said they’d call back in a few minutes when my refund was processed. They never called. I went back in the next day and they fought me tooth and nail on remaking a bowl or refunding me. After unfortunately arguing with this employee on repeat, he notified me there was no manager and they wouldn’t do anything. I left and came back and asked for them to remake the food and I would call the manager later when he was in. He said “I won’t make your food if you’re going to ask for a refund.” I told him I was going just going to talk to the manager about my experience and he repeatedly the same sentence with attitude. At that point I was quite upset, but respectful. Surprise surprise after continuing to express my frustration, he calls his manager and in less than a minute I receive a refund. I will not be returning. This was so ridiculous and honestly was so rude beyond belief.

Ok, so it's my first time here, Holy cow, this place was awesome! We went with their Premium all you can eat menu because we wanted the full experience!
HUGE selection of meats, seafood, and vegetables. We tried the brisket, bugoli, shrimp, braised short ribs, vegetables, vegetable pot stickers, and vegetable panackes. They bring out the raw meat and light this cute little personal grill right in your table, and you cook everything right there, the way you like it! Quite the experience! My daughter's partner played chef for us, and she really rocked it!! All the meats cooked to perfection!
Also, it was my first time trying Soju, and i would come back here just for that!
Wicked good food, wicked good service and left quite satisfied!
Highly recommend!!

Went here for lunch today, to take a young lady for her birthday. She brought a cake in that someone from her place (she is poor) gave her. the waiter was nice to put in in the fridge.
I was kind of tired, having driven some 50 miles. So we went with this all you can eat scenario. Sadly I should have really looked at the prices. I don't know that I might have objected, but when I got the bill, I was floored, probably the most expensive lunch I ever had, before the tip, nearly 200 dollars, no wonder there was hardly anyone there, this on a Thursday afternoon.
Also, they just give you the meat, you put it in this heater, but also cut it up. Luckily she did. It would have been nice if he had gone over the different prices before.

This place has meat you can eat for $79. I ordered it twice and ate it the third time and they said they didn't have that meat. Then I wanted the meat I could eat next and they said they didn't have that meat either... Two people came and said they didn't have it, but later someone else said it. He came and told me that there was one thing missing and there was one thing... Well... I felt really bad and the side dishes didn't taste as good as before.
