Excellent option for casual, family-style Cambodian dining. Ordered 4 appetizers for a filling dinner for two; with rice, and the spread could have easily fed three.

Spicy Papaya Salad, refreshing and light, the thinly sliced, unripened fruit has the taste and texture of radish.

Prawn Salad, same dressing, but served with cabbage and mint.

Mporn Slarp Moarn, chicken wings stuffed with ground pork and vermicelli then deep fried, a well-spiced and flavor-forward appetizer.

Beef Skewers, tender marinated, slightly sweet and succulent, a must.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Phnom Penh House. The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the service staff were incredibly attentive. The food was delicious. I had a wonderful dining experience and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious Cambodian meal in Alameda.

The grilled beef skewers are very good, cooked well, and flavorful. The chicken with peanut sauce had the right texture but could be more seasoned. Service was fast and restaurant was clean. Would come back again to try their other entrees

Very kind staff and great tasting food. The restaurant is in a nice area and even though we came to eat at dinner time, there was surprisingly not very many customers.

I ordered takeout from then and tried their Spicy Papaya Salad with shrimp, Charbroiled Beef Skewers, and Boneless Chicken Wings. The total came to around $75, which I found a bit pricey for just three items.

The food itself was great, with flavors that were on point. I highly recommend the Slaap Moarn Borg (boneless chicken wings) – they were delicious! However, I noticed a strange taste in the veggies, almost like a cleaning product, which was off-putting.

Overall, while the food was tasty, the high price and the odd taste in the veggies left me with mixed feelings.

This was my first time trying this restaurant since they opened. Location is very convenient and easy to found, only they do not have parking lot. Only street parking.

Reason I gave them 4 stars (I should say 4.5), because it took longer than expected wait time for cooking the food. At least 30 minutes for 1 appetizer and 1 dish. It's kind of a long wait. However, the taste was good, and their service is fast and nice.

Their appetizers were quite expensive than I expected in the area.

The restaurant is not that big, so in the weekend could be longer wait time.

One thing is a plus that, they do accept Tap payments, which is huge deal for someone like me. Just go to their counter and ask for it.
