We decided to go to Shell Shock when my friend Dorothy told me that Quincy wanted to meet us at a seafood restaurant. I told Dorothy "You know where we are going, right?". And she said yes. Lol. We went here for a birthday treat to our friend Quincy. He loves it here and we ordered him fresh oysters and of course, shared what Dorothy and I ordered.
I love a good crab boil restaurant, but whenever we come here, the food is okay, but we still end up paying 200$ for the group. If it were an incredible experience with extra food or more service or something, it might be worth it for special occasions, but as it is today, it's okay food in an okay atmosphere for an astronomical price.
We loved the calamari, it was delicious dripped in coctail or tarter sauce. I also had a whole crab with garlc butter. It was good. If I get the crab again, I will try a different sauce/seasoning. I am going back to try their happy hour. Great staff, very friendly and efficient.
I went for my sister's birthday Very clean Customer service was really good Kinda expenses
Kid-friendliness: Yes
Parking: There was other restaurants nearby
Wheelchair accessibility: Is wheelchair accessible
I recommend the garlic noodles. The portion is enough to feed about three people. They have happy hours on weekdays. Five dollars off on basketball entrees, $3.00 beer and $5.00 margaritas. Outdoor patio dining can hold eight people. Indoor dining has a capacity for 125 people. Parking lot is next to restaurant.
I believe this restaurant has a lot of potential if they can improve the recipe. I ordered the crawfish and shrimp with the house special sauce. The crawfish was bland and tough as if though it was overcooked and thrown into the sauced bag. The shrimp and crawfish definitely not fully seasoned. I think once they master how to correctly cook the Cajun seafood it would be a hit. I really like would like to come back here and try again.
4/6 raw oysters were bad, no lobster rolls, so ordered crab po boy but got the crab basket changed out for the po boy but it was inedible. My mother ordered gumbo which came in a 4 oz paper cup. I would not recommend…wishing I had been warned!
Got the combo 1 with the house special sauce and shrimp basket, was alright and good size shrimp. Sauce was good but nothing beats the special sauce at bucket o crawfish so I think I’ll stick to them
We really came for clam chowder. We ended up also getting combo 1 which was so delicious house special. Everything was good from service to food and good environment. Definitely will be back with my wife she loved it!
Good was good. The breading on the shrimp and the catfish was awesome. Happy hour - $5 off baskets and $3 beers. Go for the house sauce. Spicy ain't that spicy. It was just nice.

I really enjoyed my food, I had a bag of shrimps with potatoes. In theory I ordered spicy but it wasn't that spicy. The flavor is different than on Hang Ten, but it's good and with plenty of garlic. The place is nice big and clean.Congratulations to my waiter (tiny girl) she was super nice and friendly, she didn't rush me like in most places where as soon as they see you're about to finish your meal they bring the check without you asking for it.I also had some oysters and at the end some caramel ice cream (thanks for the recommendation it was delicious). They have happy hour, so my beers were 3 dollars each.I'll definitely come back again to try the rest of the food ??
My friend was visiting from Washington. First time for both of us. The waitress was wonderful, explained everything. We had the 3 item bag. oh so good !!! mild sauce was just perfect. The shrimp and mussels were cooked perfectly. Will definitely be back with the family. ??
A fun place for a very casual dinner. Staff were friendly and efficient. We had the seafood boil with crayfish, mussels, and shrimp in their combo sauce. Additionally, there was corn on the cob, pieces of sausage, and potatoes in the bag. There was also a shrimp po boy and seasoned fries. The food overall was good though we thought it could have had a little more punch in the spice. The shrimp po boy was okay. Seating was open and plentiful.Lots of napkins, gloves, and bibs were provided to keep everyone clean. They were much appreciated.A good experience and I would go again if I wanted a seafood boil.
Food was great. Service was excellent. Totally worth it. About time Webster St. got a new restaurant going on that wasn't the same old thing.
The seafood here is flavorful and the portion was generous. I enjoyed my Catfish basket and my wife was more than satisfied with her menu item #2 combo, which included snow crab legs shrimp, and mussels. There were sausage corn and potatoes in the bag as well. Our cajun wing was ok. Our server provided us with plastic bibs and gloves to cover our hands. I highly suggest getting the house sauce with your order. It's spicy with a little kick but not too hot.
