We came for the prime rib on Sunday and that was still tasty along with their potatoes! The signature chicken was dry. Most of the wait staff were new and didn't know or understand service, no refill on eaters and we left the dishes from our entrees in a pile because no one removed them when we were done. Hope they start training their new staff.
Came to celebrate a birthday and our group really enjoyed ourselves! Staff were super nice and friendly. We ordered the corn fritters, beet salad, cauliflower, double Dutch platter, tri tip, and the tsukune sando. Also French toast for the table! Everything was delicious and the only issue was the chicken was a little dry. But the birthday boy didn't complain and he loved it all! We've had the tasty Sunday prime rib in the past and will be back again!
Excellent food, as always! That's why I always keep coming back. This time I brought a friend and she loved it as well, and I'm sure she will be back.
Excellent service and we were seated immediately for our reservation. Our superb server answered our questions about the specials for today and we were convinced to try the rotisserie prime rib Sunday special. My family and I agreed that was the BEST prime rib we have ever eaten and the creamed corn it came with made it an absolutely delicious paring! The horse radish is top notch! We ordered our usual fav starters of Chix Fat Rice and Corn Fritters. For our other entree, we always enjoy the chicken and spareribs from our double Dutch entree, as these are especially juicy and the spareribs fell off the bone and are packed with flavor! I added chimichurri sauce from the roti that came with the Double Dutch on the chicken and spareribs ribs and this combination was perfection. People kept entering for takeout and to be seated, showing the strong business of Spinning Bones! This is one of our favorite restaurants and we are looking forward to our next visit to try out their specials and our fav items from their menu again!
Wonderful food combined with excellent, attentive service....dining at Spinning Bones is always a treat and we look forward to our next visit. You could make an entire meal from their small plates and salads options, but for a bigger meal, we like to get a few "combo" entrees and enjoy it, "family-style", when we come for dinner. Previous visits during lunch hours, you can't go wrong with a burger or my favorite, the fried chicken sandwich, BUT, don't forget to first ask for their "specials of the day" or you might regret missing out on some real winners, too!
Fantastic restaurant! The food was exceptional, the service was great, and the ambiance welcoming. I had the veggie burger—best I've ever had. Seriously! I'll be back, for sure. 🥰
Celebrated birthday at Spinning Bones, everything was great the food exceptional we had made plans for the house of prime rib but I can say that the quality of the prime rib was better than House. The beef was tender and flavorful medium rare kudos to the chef
Spinning Bones left a lot to be desired. Upon arrival, the waitress was literally eating at the door and acted annoyed that we showed up, which set a sour tone from the start. It took nearly 15 minutes just to get asked for our drinks, despite there only being about six parties in the whole place. Not exactly the kind of service you’d expect at a so-called “Bib Gourmand” establishment. For lunch, we ordered the salmon, double Dutch, and Brussels sprouts. Unfortunately, none of the flavors stood out—everything tasted bland. The ribs and chicken were tough, and the salmon had an unpleasant fishy taste, almost as if they had used the least desirable part.
Honestly, I can’t see how this place earned its "Bib Gourmand". Spending over $100 for lunch here felt like throwing money away. If this is what Michelin-quality dining is supposed to be, then I’ll steer clear of any others on the list. This experience really made me question the credibility of the Michelin rating/review system. There was absolutely nothing remarkable or enjoyable about the food or the service, and it was a major disappointment.

Our group was looking for a relaxed, family-friendly spot with tasty food, and Spinning Bones delivered! We loved the fusion flavors, protein-forward mains, warm service, and child-friendly details like the kid bento boxes, cups, and crayons. Looking forward to returning!

We had a delicious meal here with my family last Friday. My chicken sandwich was tasty, and everyone else cleaned their plates clean!

An outstanding restaurant that lives up to the hype. The pork shoulder is truly to die for — it was one of the best dishes I’ve ever tasted and alone worth the price of the dinner. The St. Louis ribs were outstanding (though not quite as good as the pork shoulder), and the other dishes (sausage, butter mochi, goddess salad) were very good though probably not their reason for staying in business. The atmosphere is cute and tasteful, and the prices aren’t bad for such good food. The only downside was that the quality of service was not ideal — our table wasn’t completely clean, we weren’t served in a prompt way, and the server wasn’t very friendly. But that won’t stop us from coming back.

What a lovely little gem in Alameda! We enjoyed generous portions of an app, salad and mains plus two drinks which were both tasty and quite reasonable given the quality and quantity of the food! The servers and hosts were all very attentive. The cherry on top was that our dogs were able to go, always love me a dog friendly restaurant. Highly recommend!!

Came here because my mom wanted prime rib for her birthday. We made reservations but had to wait a bit since the tables weren’t cleared. That was understandable, but there was barely any service afterwards? The prime rib special was pretty good, but the appetizer was a tad too salty. Wasn’t blown away by the dessert either, which we waited nearly 20 mins for. I would have understood if they had to do something special with it in terms of adding bits to finish the plate off but it looked like it was just something they just plated. I’m pretty sure they forgot about dessert as they were trying to close up but we had 6:30pm reservations and most of that time was spent waiting. We were done with our meal pretty fast and the restaurant was nearly empty by the time we were asked if we wanted dessert so we spent a while forgotten I think.
Another thing is that we got our appetizer around the same time as our mains… not sure if the kitchen was behind or something but I’m not blown away enough by the food to come back.

Food was on the better side. Not amazing, but still tasty. Sauces were good but the meat a little dry. Where this falls short is the value per dollar. It’s just too expensive to justify the quality. At $50 per person (without drinks) they need to be exceptional. Probs won’t be back.
