“My husband and I stopped for lunch on a bike ride that passed through the the area. It’s a hidden lunch gem in a office space, but we’re glad we found it. We went halfsies on the Sicilian chicken sandwich and the falafel wrap. Both were delicious, but the falafel wrap was the real standout. I’d go out of my way to come back for another one of those.Good service, nice staff, great outdoor seating on a sunny day.“
“My experience here today was really great! The customer service was exceptional. The food was delicious and a perfect price point for the quantity. I was already planning on coming here today and I'm very glad I didn't let a previous negative reviewer change my mind. We got chicken tikka kabob and steak kabob paratha rolls, the meat quality was outstanding. There was no "hot lettuce" anywhere in sight. The rolls were meat forward, which is my preference, and came with diced cucumbers, onions, raita, and I believe a very small amount of a tamarind sauce (when they gave us squeeze bottles of additional sauces the lady called it Pakistani BBQ sauce which I thought was not only cute but helpful because it was much thinner and less overpowering than some tamarind chutneys, I really liked it). We also got samosas and they were really good but I will try something else next time because the cinnamon was a bit strong for my taste, but that's not a dig, I'm excited to try new things on their menu! And the mango lassi they gave us samples of is outstanding, I will come back to get that as a sweet treat soon. The 5 star reviews are not BS :)“
“Stopped in to order take out after passing this place daily. The place is no frills but clean. I ordered the Shawarma time salad. The menu doesn't have a description of the salad but it's cucumber, tomato, radish, onion and cabbage with lots of sumac, then covered in chicken and beef shawarma. It was great. I was starving so I got the large salad. They didn't skimp on the protein. It's great to have a healthy lunch option in the area. I'll be back to try the plates and wraps!“
“Excellent place to get breakfast or sandwich and a coffee. Small, efficient, friendly, delicious, and well priced! As of December 2023 a sausage egg and cheese croissant is still just $5.45, when donut shops are charging up to $7/8 for the same thing.“
“Amazing food at a reasonable price with generous portions. The interior has an industrial aesthetic, but it's comfortable and the staff are very friendly here. They have a great selection of Gluten Free options and they have the best shawarma fries in the area!Dietary restrictions: Plenty of Gluten-Free options here!“
“One of the best restaurants around the UC Berkeley campus. Quality, fresh tasting food and always hits the spot every time. A bit pricey for the portion size, but compared to the rest of Berkeley it’s 100% worth it. If you want fast, tasty Mediterranean food, this is the spot.“
“Ordered the sashimi appetizer over the phone for takeout on a late Saturday afternoon.Very efficient and friendly service.Given the location in a upscale area, I was surprised at the reasonableness of the price and the quality. Also, even though I didn't eat at site, it is a very pleasant intimate environment. If I'm ever in the area I would definitely come here again.“
“Black-owned plant-based Oakland restaurant. Absolutely everything is BOMB. Best vegan mac by far ?Vegetarian options: Everything is plant-basedDietary restrictions: Gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, plant-based, rawWheelchair accessibility: Plenty of accessible seating and each entrance is accessible“
“This place is AMAZING. Hassan was also such a sweetheart and so kind!My partner and I ordered the Jordanian wrap, the chicken shish kabob wrap, the chicken plate, and a couple baklava. It was all super yummy, especially the falafel and roasted cauliflower in the Jordanian wrap, and the chicken was the most soft and tender I've ever had. It was literally falling apart. We're definitely planning to come back and try out more items :) Only constructive feedback I can give is that the hot sauce could have been spicier! We had them both and they were both mild for us.“
“Finally made it to Pomella, a restaurant that's been on my wishlist for a while. Tried the Lamb Wrap—an amazing combo of house-made Laffa flatbread, hummus, cabbage salad, Shirazi salad, and your choice of protein, topped with tahini and green lemon sauce (not spicy). It was worth the wait! Conveniently located near a hospital, which was perfect for me after a routine check-up—I just walked a block over after my lab work. Plus, there's a public parking lot behind the restaurant, making it even more convenient for pick up. Waited around 15 minutes for my food, but it was definitely worth it.“
“I was very happy to find this Mediterranean place in Alameda. You order either a pita, wrap, or bowl, and then you customize it however you want. You can choose a protein then add the extras you want. Some of the extras cost extra, but there are also plenty of free extras as well. Some of the free extras (like beets) are pretty skimpy though. One thing I learned is there are different types of couscous. I've always been accustomed to the Israeli couscous, which are tiny pearl-like pastas. But here, they have Moroccan couscous, which is more like a grain. This tasted great in the salad. What we had..+ Chicken shawarma wrap - Very well put together and very tasty. However, it was a bit smaller than wraps from Kebab Shop or Halal Guys.+ Chicken shawarma bowl - I added a lot of extras, and somehow it all tasted great together. The hummus was quite a bit thicker than I'm used to. The texture wasn't conducive to mixing with your salad or for dipping your pita in, but still very tasty.Overall, this was a happy find.“
