Small place, I found to eat at while passing through. It was so cute. The people working (I assume own it) were really nice. The food was great. If/when I pass through again, I will be stopping again.

Tasty! Good breakfast burritos. No bathrooms here. They recommend going to a nearby coffee shop, which does have a bathroom.

So maybe Sunday late morning is not the time to go here...maybe they were short staffed...maybe they were training a new cook...probably....I will not go back..

We have often driven by the Alamo Cafe, saying someday we must visit. Today was the day, and we are pretty happy we did. We were greeted with a welcome and a big, friendly smile upon entering the restaurant. We knew then this place would be unique.

Service was prompt; we ordered breakfast (French Toast Special with a side of link sausage) - the portions were just the right size and delicious. The coffee was excellent, too! There was no pressure to rush us out when we finished our meal while we finished the last sips of coffee.

Prices were fair and a good value for the meal received. Next week, we’re going back to try their sandwiches. Give them a try; we’re sure you will not be disappointed.

If you are looking for breakfast or lunch and can make it to Alamo California (5 mins from Walnut Creek!), please do yourself a favor and try Alamo Cafe. It has been open since 1947 by the same family and from the food they serve to how they serve YOU, it’s sublime. My absolute favorite Philly Cheesesteak I have eaten in California has Garlic Parmesan Fries as an upgrade I totally suggest.

This is our favorite post climbing breakfast/brunch location. It’s a small diner but we love their food. Nothing gourmet just a simple menu with excellent food.

Great food, fun atmosphere… very small, no bathroom and service very slow / unorganized (but nice / friendly). We arrived at 10:20 and didn’t get our food until 12:20, not an exaggeration.

Their food is absolutely delicious! Expect to wait a little longer for your food, since there is usually only one cook on the grill, but totally worth it. We brought our kids here and they were getting a bit rambunctious as kids do and our waitress brought them kid water cups with colorful straws and it really helped! Highly recommend this treasure of a place.
