Food was delicious. The service was excellent. The ambiance is perfect. The owner and sushi chef, Ricky, and his staff are my favorite part. We had the VIP treatment. Guess it didn't hurt that RJ's favorite customer was in our group. I highly recommend RJ's.

We have been coming to RJ's for 6 years now and the prices have gone up, but the portions have gotten smaller. For a CA roll, volcano role, and two garlic edamame cost me $48. I don't mind spending that price as long as I'm getting a full portion size. Garlic edamame is a very inexpensive item for them on their end, yet the last 3 times I have picked up to go orders the containers are half full. It's unfortunate because I love supporting small businesses and the owners and staff are so kind. Please work on this RJ's.

This is the second time I've been here, but it has been awhile. Met a long time friend here and had such a wonderful time and experience! We were greeted right away and were seated at a booth. There were about two or three other tables that were occupied. Our server was great and attentive. She took our drink order right away - Sapporo and hot tea in a pretty black tea pot. The ambience was great, restaurant was very clean and neat. Our server took our food order shortly after bringing our drink order. Our salad and rolls were delivered very quickly and the presentation was beautiful! Restaurant was clean, service was great, and food was delicious. If you're looking for a place to eat in Alamo, make sure to check this spot out! What we ordered: Sapporo Hot tea Volcano roll Firecracker roll Side salad

Nice place. Appears family run. Reception was not rude but unpleasant Food quality was mixed. Hamachi was great . The tune was low grade and rolls were heavy with sauce Overpriced for quality and ambience. Soft shell crab was miserly done with rice cubes. Overall ok for last minute sushi

Outstanding! Always…… Dave Y. You’re just a Karen. Everything about RJ’s is fantastic. If anyone doesn’t like RJ’s, they have much greater hurdles to deal with and simply can’t find the good in anything. Hats off to the staff, the owner and the regulars.

Finding RJ's was an absolute gem. Great Staff and the owner comes out and talks to every table. Service is beyond belief and the food is amazing. Ricky the owner is so cool he has so many regular customers. There was a table of his regular customers there when we were there and they were so inviting and fun to hang with with. This is truly a place where you can have good food, feel like family, and have a great time. Definitely coming back to this place

Fast service, great food, and nice to children (at least those that are well behaved without demanding entitled parents). We had 3 generations of our family show up on a busy night and everything went well. The food we got ranged from traditional sushi and sashimi to fried noodles, fancy rolls, Mongolian shrimp, and everything was tasty. We're adding another restaurant to the frequently visited list.Vegetarian options: Plenty to choose from.Kid-friendliness: Super nice to kids.Dietary restrictions: We had MSG and Soy allergies to deal with and had no issues getting questions answered and safe food ordered.

RJ's is an Absolute must add to your Date night out Rotation or the entire Family if you are Locals. RJ, Rebecca and the Staff are really nice Family Oriented Owners. Always Friendly and a really Happy Environment. Have a Joe Roll.

We always start off with a hamachi kama , garlic edamame then had maguru ,ebi, and a volcano roll. The fish is always so fresh . I am super picky about that. My husband will eat anything. This time I had a little hot sake and a beer. Service is always great. It's a 5 Star

We’ve lived in the area for four years but this is our first time to RJ’s. Blending into a strip mall does not enhance exposure. Just stumbled on this place and decided to visit. This is NOT a cheap restaurant but the value is surely there. The decor is definitely upscale. Very nicely done. I had the Singapore Stew. A hearty soup with just the right balance of coconut, lemon grass and cream. I counted six mussels and clams and a generous amount of salmon and various fish cakes. The bowl was huge. I finished maybe 1/3. My to go portion filled the to go container. I’d recommend splitting this serving between two. My wife had the Yaki Soba with chicken. She too brought home 3/4 of her serving. We both would have went home full with just one dish between us. The menu has pages of sushi rolls. I saw five or six served to nearby tables. The rolls were the largest rolls I have ever seen. Each was cut into 9 or 10 large pieces. Yes, I counted them at the table next to mine. I am definitely going back for the sushi rolls. They looked great. So don’t be put off by the $22 rolls and entrees. Each will feed two. Had a taste of the Singapore stew this morning, cold out of the refrigerator. Wow! Can’t wait for dinner. Service was fine all things considered these days.
