For usual bakery items the Safeway Bakery is fine - reasonable stock of the usual things and staples. I would absolutely NOT recommend ordering a cake or any of the special items. In other words, if it's not on display do not order it. The cake we ordered was so bad it was almost funny (except we had to serve to people who wanted to eat it...so not funny). The decoration was horrid - and we didn't even order anything other than writing. The writing looked like a child did it, and it wasnt centered. That would have been ok, it was a sheet cake so we could just see it and not let anyone see it. But the cake was dry and tasted stale. It was overall really bad.The reason to the 3 stars is for the general bakery. 1 star for the quality of the bakery items that are ordered

Your new store lights have many complaining. When you can see the lights reflect off every angle from the floors to the glass doors, you have an issue. The store is too warm now due to so much energy being wasted on lights. Tone it down.

3 Safeway stores within 15mins of me and I ALWAYS PREFER this one. Clean, nice layout, well stocked. GR8 Meat cutters ask for Scott or Gary, produce & deli, SUPER friendly cashiers & NO SELF CHECK!

Too bad they have apparently laid off all the courtesy clerks (baggers) and now customers are bagging their own, and they've stopped offering to help everyone to the car.
