Cold Stone Creamery

The employees look overworked and frazzled and maybe more folks should be hired to handle the long preparation times. Also the ice cream doesn't taste very good. It's not rich and creamy like one would expect, but has a weird aftertaste and an odd, stringy gelatinous texture. Was not impressed.

I was in on 12/28 at around 8 pm to get a hand
packed quart of cake batter ice cream. Both employees were helping the family before me with their order. After the customers paid, the male employee stepped back to finish their order while the female started counting a few dollar bills laid out on the counter behind her. She turned around to look at me waiting to be helped, then she turned back around and continued to count her money without acknowledging me. I stood there for a few more minutes until the male employee, who was still finishing up the last order, looked up and saw that I was still waiting. He looked at the girl who was still counting her money and went over and asked her to help me. They had words and then she returned to counting her dollar bills. At this point the male employee had to stop what he was doing to help me, The female employee still continued to count (what I assume were tips) and kept her back to me. Male employee continued packing my cake batter. I then noticed that you had banana ice cream too, so I asked him to add some of that to my container if he could. I could tell he was annoyed because he started to say something and didn't even try to hide his irritation, but he did fit some in. He finished my hand packed quart and set it on the counter. I had to ask him for a bag. I had to ask for a bag to carry my container of ice cream ? Unbelievable.
The long and short of it was that both employees made me feel like I was putting them out by being there. I was literally the only person in there after the prior customers left. I feel like the female employee was especially rude by looking at me and then turning her back to me without a word. When I paid I noticed there was an option to tip. Tip for what, for being treated like I was annoying them by being there ? I will never return to that location.

The people working seem absolutely miserable, I wouldn’t have considered leaving a review if they had even an ounce of friendliness to them but jeez they weren’t even close. I came with one other person and we were the only ones in line but it seemed to be such a huge inconvenience that we chose to come in. I would understand if they were in a rush or busy but nothing of the sort was happening.

Jamie was so friendly! Great smile too. (You can tell a real one from a forced, and hers was genuine.) She let us sample and mix stuff without looking to be bored or put out.

The ice cream itself was absolutely delicious and the portions were generous no complaints there. Unfortunately the woman serving me was unpleasant. It was my first time in and I told her I would need a minute to decide and throughout the whole process she was very condescending to me. Scoffing and making sarcastic remarks when I asked questions about the sizing and rushing me when it came to picking out toppings.

We called in to see if this Coldstone could make a cake for us with our baby’s gender. We spoke with Jaimie and she assured us that she could take our gender results (still unknown to us) and decorate a cake of our choice. She was very helpful, wrapped the cake in tissue paper and stapled the bag to conceal the surprise. My wife and I were then able to have our own surprise gender reveal at home. We opened the nicely decorated ice cream cake and were shocked to see we are expecting a boy! Thanks for your help in making this a special event for us Jaimie and Coldstone Creamery.

I don’t know the name of the awesome employees that were working last night, but they deserve raises! They were yet again extremely kind and patient with our little kids, entertaining by doing ice cream tricks and throws, and truly made our kids’ ice cream experience one that can’t be beat. Thank you for always making our time in Cold Stone so wonderful!

It’s summer. It’s hot. How about you hire more staff so Door Dash orders don’t get canceled?

Had to wait 5+ minutes for someone to show up at counter (girl named Jamie). Took order. Started shake which is normally a 3 minute procedure to complete. In the middle she chose to service two other customers. Questioned why I asked for her name or employee ID. I told her I wanted to make sure she got the appropriate credit. Took about 10 minutes to complete. I have never seen this at Coldstone before. Good product. Lousy server.
