It was a cool autumn day so I opted for the shrimp stew (Chupa de Camerones) with a side of bread. The stew/soup is a nice change of pace from cheese and cream based soups available in so many restaurants.
The soup was full of shrimp, potatoes, rice, tomatoes and onion. It's very aromatic so it's a pleasure to both the nose and mouth.
The serving seemed like 2 - 3 cups. It was very filling.

It had been a while since we last dined here at Inka Mama’s and we were passing Aliso Viejo on our way back to San Diego from the LA International Airport. It was approximately 2 hours prior to them closing so we opted to dine in and enjoy some delicious Peruvian food. We started with some empanadas (one chicken, one beef). They were served hot & savory, they weren’t dry like many other empanadas we’ve tried at other restaurants. Then we shared a Chaufa Combinado (Peruvian fried rice sautéed w/beef, chicken, shrimp, peas, carrots, scrambled eggs, ginger, black bean sauce, red bell peppers, and green onions) and it was delicious and just the right portion for us to share. Had we both ordered an entree each, it would’ve been far too much food for us, and we would’ve had to take the leftovers home. I believe this was our first time ordering their Chaufa Combinado and were quite pleased with it. This restaurant also accepts AMEX cards, a plus for us as it’s our payment of choice.

Looking for something different but not that extreme. Give this family owned place a try. I’ve been coming here for nearly 20 years. Is it authentic Peruvian food? I wouldn't know but it is really good and all seems freshly prepared. My favorite is the Chicken/Pollo Aijaco. Such delicious garlic sauce. They have a great take on calamari. There are many different types of dishes. Large portions. Very friendly staff.
I see serval reviews knocking restaurants for orders though Door Dash, Uber Eats, and other food delivery services. It might help to know these services are often not something the restaurants seek. Restaurants are happy to do take out. Yet the food delivery services are a different matter. They can cut into restaurant profits, restaurants have no control over quality of handling, and restaurants are often forced into using food delivery. Talk to a restaurant owner and you will come away with a very different perspective than you thought the food delivery services are about.

Terrible service !!! I ordered grilled chicken through UBER EATS and they sent me a meal that Noé gave in Peru!!! It's really disrespectful, I ordered twice and both times I received the same combination of food that I have no idea what the name of that food they invented was called. I called the restaurant and they only said to ask for a refund from UBER, what this restaurant does is disrespectful, be careful.
The service here is excellent and I have almost no complaints. Four stars because the ceviche tasted a little different than usual. Asked for some extra lime and they brought lemon. I’m sorry my friends but lemon is never an acceptable substitute for lime in Peruvian cuisine. I’m aware there is a lime shortage.

The worst ceviche we ever tried in my life, too much onion and bitter lemon, the cheapest fish available in California, (30 dollars, because they charge for chili)...Lomo saltado with 4 hard pieces of meat and poor in flavor, and noodles Salted, adding silage, salt and a lot of spice, I could eat it.

I went for the first time and my experience was not good, when paying I left a tip and they also charged me the highest price of what it says on the menu, I called and they agreed to call me back to clarify the problem and I never heard anything again They didn't even refund my money, what a shame, I don't recommend it, they charge what is not, there is no seriousness, what a shame!
