Drove some distance to come to this location and it was closed! Nooooooo!! Haha Love their food and shakes though. Would highly recommend, if you can find a location that's open Haha. Can't believe they are replacing it with a wendy's?!?! Haha what a bummer, truly.

Steak n Shake on the west coast has a limited menu compared to the Midwest. Food if still good. Twice the price as the Midwest but that's too be expected with high rent and taxes of California. Also my go to for burger and cheese fries. My opinion is it it's better than In n out. Just wish they had a larger menu. Specifically the garlic steak burger.

I had not eaten at a Steak 'n Shake in a very long time and I had never eaten at this one. I ordered a steak burger and a chocolate milk shake. The food did not take very long and when it arrived it was fresh and hot. The burger was better than I remembered and the chocolate shake was even better. One of the better burger meals that I have eaten in a very long time. I was very pleased and am looking forward to coming back here real soon, I would highly recommend this place and I will definitely be back very soon.

Used to be one of America's best. Now, a bit ho hum and over priced. Even the fries were not that good, a bit cold. If you're in search of a great burger, try Freddy's when you can. Their burgers AND fries are today what Steak and Shake used to be.
I have always loved this restaurant and I ended up driving 45 minutes just for a Dave's double with bacon.

Bomb! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. It wasn't very busy and the associate made us feel welcome and special. Everything was made fresh and put together quickly. We took advantage of the happy hour shake deal which was also very tasty and made the old fashioned way with a metal cup. Definitely a great little burger spot

I've eaten here several times over the past several years. This store on La Paz seems to have gone downhill. When I looked for a booth, they were dirty. There were plates needing to be removed, dirty table tops, and no cleaning being done.
