Drove some distance to come to this location and it was closed! Nooooooo!! Haha Love their food and shakes though. Would highly recommend, if you can find a location that's open Haha. Can't believe they are replacing it with a wendy's?!?! Haha what a bummer, truly.
Steak n Shake on the west coast has a limited menu compared to the Midwest. Food if still good. Twice the price as the Midwest but that's too be expected with high rent and taxes of California. Also my go to for burger and cheese fries. My opinion is it it's better than In n out. Just wish they had a larger menu. Specifically the garlic steak burger.
I had not eaten at a Steak 'n Shake in a very long time and I had never eaten at this one. I ordered a steak burger and a chocolate milk shake. The food did not take very long and when it arrived it was fresh and hot. The burger was better than I remembered and the chocolate shake was even better. One of the better burger meals that I have eaten in a very long time. I was very pleased and am looking forward to coming back here real soon, I would highly recommend this place...
