The hostesses were amazing here! even though I was only picking up food to go they made me feel welcomed. they interacted me while I was waiting, which says a lot about creating a welcoming atmosphere.

Delicious Ahi Crudo, lobster ravioli, & Branzino. Waiter was super friendly and attentive, and I walked away feeling very satisfied but not overly full and sluggish like I usually do eating at Italian places.

Wonderful, authentic, friendly, delicious, and a great experience. The chef/owner was so hospitable and welcoming. Will be going back soon.

So bummed we only now discovered this gem. Service was top shelf…….seriously outstanding. Food was really solid, the lasagna is the best around according to my wife. They also do the IG worthy pasta in the block of cheese. Not my best pics, but check them out.

Best Italian food in OC!
Branzino is a must! We used to go to LA forr good food and now that we found this place we'll definitely come back. Chef is kind and talks to everyone, service was excellent. Everything was fresh and tested good. 10/10

I was on the road working for five days and this is the best thing I have had to eat all week…and probably stretching back weeks before that. Sheesh! The salad was amazing and look at this lasagna. Very thankful for this place, made my day great. UPDATE: Omg! This is crazy good!

Craving amazing Italian food in an elevated casual setting this is a place that will not disappoint. With an Italian husband and many trips to Italy this place is like going to the south of Italy where amazing food and exceptional service is the standard. I highly recommend the Branzino.

I had high hopes for this place. I'd rate the food and the atmosphere as just ok. Nothing was bad, but felt it wasn't great and was overpriced for what you get. Service was very good. There are other Italian restaurants I prefer over this one.

Fantastic! Aliso Viejo needs more restaurants like Trullo - high quality food, creative, decent wine list. Read about the chef/owner on their website.

Would be nice if the servers knew more about the wines and food pairings.

The food was very good. Love the focaccia!!! It took a long time to get all of our courses- appetizers, entrees and desserts. Even beverages took a while other than the patient person that brought me several tastes of wine before I choose one. I would order the food to go next time

My husband and I are so glad that this restaurant opened in town center. The food is delicious, the staff is attentive and friendly, and the decor and environment is very tasteful.
