Went here for lunch today- was going to order a bowl but then I saw they had gluten-free bread available for their sandwiches. I never get to eat sandwiches so I had the SoCal and it was delicious. The ingredients were fresh and the bread was fantastic. Good choice of craft sodas as well. My wife had a salad and it was delicious and definitely on the large side. Overall a great lunch!

Overall experience was ok! A solid 4 stars.
We came on a Saturday around noon, the place was not crazy busy, but they were having a constant flow of customers.

Parking can get hectic, lots of other shops around. It was a clean restaurant, well maintained and organized.

The staff could’ve been nicer. A “Hi and welcome,” would have been nice. But she was still professional and patient as she took our orders.

The food was ok. It was just good. Good flavor, chicken was a bit dry, nothing some sauce couldn’t fix haha.

Not sure if I’ll come back though, it is really out of my way, but it has good stars on help and google so I wanted to try it!

Would I recommend it? Yes, try it if you are around the area!

The staff works very slowly (he waited for his order for about 30 minutes, although there were almost no people) and does not pay attention to visitors, disappointed(

I've been to this location multiple times, but I have to say the quality and experience is going downhill with each visit. First of all, I had to wait several minutes in a nearly empty restaurant for my order to be taken. They were incredibly stingy on everything. My side salad was half the size as normal, the extra sauce I asked for (which now, by the way, you have to pay for) was at most a teaspoon (and they used to completely fill up the little side cup in all previous visits), the cheese on my child's cheese pizza was sparse and the kids fruit cup had about half as much fruit as normal, there was barely any avocado on my sandwich - just all around NOTICEABLE stinginess. The other entree we ordered was asked to be prepared warmed and it came out cold and dry. The meat didn't even cover the sandwich, and the sauce was also sparse and flavorless. We are long-time customers (over 16 years across many locations in Southern California) and we notice a difference! Had this been my first time visiting an Urbane Cafe, I'm not sure I would have come back.

The food is good and I like it. The cookies are off the wall delicious. However, the last time I walked in to no line at the counter. One employee making sandwiches and one person stirring sauce. The guy just continued stirring sauce with no obvious rush to assist me. After 5 minutes of standing there with no one to assist me, I just walked out. Only order ahead from this place.

UPDATE: I'm amending my review to 5 stars. Why? Urbane Cafe reached out to discuss the issue via email. I'm going to write it off it for now, because I don't expect 100% perfection from anyone or anything. Thank you to the management for taking an interest.

Ordered takeout from Urbane Cafe on March 27, 2025 and was shocked to find a METAL SCREW in my girlfriend’s meal. Thankfully, she didn’t eat it, but this is completely unacceptable. The food is supposed to be safe, not a hardware store. We kept the screw and food as proof, photos attached. Called the restaurant, and was placed on hold for over 15 minutes and then hung up on. Lost all trust in this place. Avoid unless you want a side of metal with your meal.

We’ve ordered catering from this place many times before and never had any problems. However, it seems like the person handling catering might have changed. Our order today (large and small Share the Love Packages) was missing all the drinks and about 60% of the chips. The restaurant didn’t make much effort to resolve the issue and told us we could come and pick up the missing items. Since we already paid for delivery, this response was frustrating...if we wanted to pick up the order ourselves, we wouldn’t have chosen delivery in the first place... If you're doing catering for your events, it might be better to look for a more responsible and responsive vendor.

I’ve been to urbane cafe before and love it, however when I came to this location it was disappointing. No one was at the front to greet me and as I was standing there waiting I noticed how messy it was behind the counter where they make the sandwiches. A girl who walked in told the person in the back I was waiting, so he came out to take my order. He had gloves on that had already been used for something and he put his other glove back on, I could tell it was used already… I felt like that was pretty gross , they’re usually supposed to put fresh gloves on especially if they were in the back doing something. And then I saw him carrying containers from the Back to the front with the same pair of gloves on and he was putting his hands in the containers holding food. I really felt nauseous at this point and didn’t even want to eat my food anymore so I just didn’t finish it and left 🤢

On the evening of Saturday, January 18th 2025 a crazy male employee went on a rant (he didn’t realize we were in the store eating) and he called Muslims the equivalent of “the fourth reich”. The Islamaphobia and ignorance is stunning and he is absolutely horrible for the rant.
