A little slice of alpine heaven. Almost felt European.We enjoyed this side of the ski area better.chalet was heavenly in the sun. Sit back mid week and enjoy a bloody marry or hot tody almost on your own.Ski resort prices for sure but, worth it for location.Free water location was a nice touch.Food service is fast and pretty good. Beers are weak but other drinks were nice.
Chalet Dinner at Alpine Meadows — From the moment of arriving at Alpine Meadows for our snowshoe dinner, we felt spoiled. The staff and management considered every detail to make our experience memorable. The food was outstanding. Moreover, even though they did not have vegan meals on the menu, they made delicious and well-presented vegan food for me on very short notice. One of the best evenings to remember. Skiing was great but they have problems with their lifts. Every time you pass a tower on the chairlifts you get sprayed with a thick black oil. It gets all over your clothes and face and doesn’t wash out. We thought it was just the treeline cirque lift so moved to a different lift but the problem is present with all their lifts. If you look down on the snow you will also easily see the dark oil stains on the snow. Best advice is to wear old clothes you don’t mind throwing...
