Very cute and romantic place, seating in and outside, sports bar area had the Padres playing on TV's and arcade area for kids.
We went midweek and it was a pretty steady crowd! However, it appeared they may have only had 1 waitress on duty, and she was hustling to keep up! Very pleasant and helpful.
Hubby got the chicken parm and spaghetti, he said the chicken was either overcooked, an old chicken, or frozen as it was rubbery and had a funny taste. The noodles and sauce were ok.
I had one of the nights specials, a pan cooked chicken breast in a slightly sweet red sauce with fingerling potatoes, sautéed bell peppers, mushrooms, olives, and onions -and it was all delicious!
Also had a seasonal Apple Cider Mule, it was interesting. ?

I had the pleasure of dining at Mediterraneo Italian Restaurant, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Enzo, the owner, truly understands what it means to create an inviting and family-friendly atmosphere, not just for his customers but also for his staff.
The restaurant itself is beautifully designed, with a warm and welcoming environment that immediately puts you at ease. It's clear that Enzo has put a lot of thought into making Mediterraneo a place where families can gather and enjoy a meal together. The ambiance is perfect, with just the right balance of elegance and comfort.
As for the food, it’s nothing short of spectacular. In my 25 years of enjoying Italian cuisine, Mediterraneo stands out as the best I’ve ever had. Every dish is prepared with the freshest ingredients and a level of care that you can taste in every bite. Whether you're a fan of traditional dishes or looking to try something new, you'll find something to love here. The pasta is perfectly cooked, the sauces are rich and flavorful, and the desserts are the perfect end to a fantastic meal.
What really sets Mediterraneo apart, though, is the phenomenal customer service. Enzo and his team go above and beyond to make every guest feel like part of the family. It’s rare to find a place where the staff is just as happy and well-treated as the customers, and it shows in the service. Everyone is friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in making your dining experience unforgettable.
In short, Mediterraneo Italian Restaurant is a gem. It’s not just a place to eat; it’s a place to gather, celebrate, and enjoy the best of what Italian cuisine has to offer. If you're looking for a family-friendly restaurant with outstanding food and service, look no further. Enzo has created something truly special here.

By far best Italian food Ive had in San Diego. Authentic Italian better than Vincenzo’s in Little Italy. Owner Enzo very friendly comes up to the table talks with his patrons and makes your experience even better. Great for the whole family they have on the other side of restaurant arcade, pool tables , Kareoke
I will be returning and recommending to all my friends and family.

The food was delicious. We had the mozzarella sticks and wings for appetizers, and for dinner, we ordered the Margherita Pizza and the Salsiccia E Funghi. Both were delicious! The mozzarella tasted fresh, and the Margherita was light. Prefect crust.
I also ordered the cucumber refresher, but I have to be honest it wasn't that refreshing. It had a very bitter taste to it, and I wouldn't recommend it unless you like bitter cucumber.
So for atmosphere I had to go a 1 only because the music which I do like, wasn't the best type to play at a restaurant. Was punkish/alternative. Also, I didn't want to bring this up, but the bartender was a bit loud, and her voice resonated over to the room next to the bar, and the language was very foul. Good thing we didn't have small children to ask about the words she was spewing out. I spew out those words myself, but not in my place of work. Other than that, the food was still amazing.

1st time eating here. Starting with the service, Steven and Eliana (she's part of the owners family) were great. We had a delayed member of our party, but they constantly stopped by to check on us. Once the food came (I forgot to take photos), we dug into our wonderful meal. I'm hard to please on Italian food. We WILL be back for more. Manga

I'm sitting here right now. There are 3 tables in total. We have been sitting for 5 minutes now and still no server, no water, no bread. Lucky for us the Sushi place is right next door....

We drove in from Arizona and needed a relaxed lovely environment to enjoy some dinner and unwind before heading home to San Diego. We chose to sit and enjoy the semi outside patio. We could see the beautiful rain coming down outside and we were warm and cozy as the ceiling heaters were at a perfect temperature. The most beautiful Italian music played quietly in the background. The appetizers were hot and delicious. The main meal hit the gastro spot perfectly! This is a lovely restaurant!
