We had a great experience at Bonito Poke! What really stood out was the service — the chef herself served us and was so friendly and thoughtful. My husband and I decided to share our meal, and she kindly plated it on two separate dishes instead of just giving us an extra plate — such a small but meaningful gesture that showed how much she cares about her customers. She also took the time to describe the dishes, which helped us choose what suited our tastes best.
The place had a cozy, welcoming vibe. It’s a bit small inside, but that added to the charm for us. Definitely a hidden gem in American Canyon — we’ll be back!

Saturday pre-evening me and family stopped in to get their Short ribs. I was graciously greeted and welcomed but it was a Sorry but it was Steak nite. It was a pleasure to meet Steve the Head Chef who also was welcoming. So i decided to get the Crunchy Garlic Chicken that was so tender and flavorful. Me and the Family will definitely have to come in and Dine at this Cozy Restaurant. I just want to thank Steve and the Host for thee utmost gracious Hospitality. Until Next time when we shall Dine at your Restaurant.

I really wanted to gate keep this spot but I love helping out small businesses grow big. This place is tucked behind another building but easy directions to reach. I’ve been keeping tabs and I finally had the chance to come in person to try it out. I brought my girlfriend here recently this year and we were both surprised how everything turned out. You know every poke spot is grab n go but we were seated. We were given menus and greeted by the main chef. It wasn’t busy when we went. He gave us the rundown of Bonito Poke. Lovely service! We’ve had alot of poke around the Bay Area and I must say this is the freshest one out of all. Poke was freshly made in house and the food was flavorful. I really was amazed of the buko pandan iced tea. I’ve tasted plenty around town and they end up being too sweet or watery but Bonito Poke tops it out. I am a buko pandan lover and when you take a sip of this drink, you’re going to be like WOW this is good! Honestly we ordered one to go because it’s THAT good! Though it’s a small area, I’m sure someday they will grow and move into a bigger place. They serve indoor and outdoors. AND they do WAGYU nights. How great is that. When we were told about that, we decided to come back again. Everything we experienced here, the chef made it splendid. We thank you for great hospitality and we definitely are coming back.
NOTE: To all my filipinos out there, They serve breakfast every Saturday mornings. Tosilogs, Lechon Kawali (rare item menu), and a special dish they create. It’s First Come First Serve so prepare for a busy Saturday morning!

It's very rare we submit reviews, but Bonito Poké deserves your business! What a gem -- not your average poké place! We were greeted kindly and warmly, and the food was incredibly fresh, delicious and quickly served! Everything about our meal was a fantastic experience, with fresh, quality ingredients, and beautiful presentation for a reasonable price. We wish we lived closer to come more often, but we will definitely return whenever we're in the area. Steve clearly takes pride in his restaurant, as well as the quality of his service and meals! Thank you for one of the best poké meals we've had!

Was looking for something refreshing to eat in this heat. Stumbled across Bonito poke and was excited because there aren’t any poke places in Vallejo. We loved the atmosphere right away. Lisa was very helpful and gave recommendations for us since it was our first time. Even made special accommodations. The food was so flavorful with big portions. Garlic fries are a must and the spicy fried chicken

This place is definitely a must try! We had such a wonderful experience!
This small, cute place has amazing food! The seating area has 7 tables where each table seats 4 people.
We ordered garlic fries for my little one. We also had the traditional poke , garlic shrimp, and hibiscus tea. We had no leftovers! That's how good the food is! We are definitely planning to come back to try the Bonito Poke!

I almost never review any place but i feel i must in this case. This was a lovely experience. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable the service was above and beyond from Lisa and the food was so delicious. I'm disappointed I've never been there before I was definitely missing out and I will without a doubt be returning. I highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It was a hot afternoon and we wanted something light and refreshing for lunch. We saw Bonito Poke and found a delightful little oasis. The owner was very warm and welcomed us. He was very knowledgeable in his menu and took time to explain the food. He was obviously very proud of his food and it showed. We had the original Poke (pronounced Poh Keh) and the mexi-cali mix. Both we delicious and went well with the bloom lemonade and hibiscus lemonade. A special treat was the the pandan oat milk drink which was a real delicate flavor. A delicious lunch!

Look, I know they really wanna be upscale. And they have quality fish. It wasn’t seasoned very well and it was overpriced. I just wanted a Poké bowl for lunch I didn’t want it to be over $25 for just the Poké bowl. It was good. It’s just not worth the price. I’ve certainly had much better.

I don’t typically leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience because this place has quickly become my new favorite spot! The strawberry lemonade is absolutely delightful — refreshing and perfectly balanced — and my husband now holds poke to a much higher standard thanks to the exceptional quality here.
We’ve already visited twice this week, and we also tried the Wagyu for takeout today, which was incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. I’m so glad to have finally found a place that serves delicious steak with garlic rice — exactly what I’ve been looking for.
The quality, flavor, and consistency are truly impressive. Highly recommended! The hospitable chef is also so kind and explained their menu. Happy preggy tummy here!

Can a place hit it totally out of the park??? Well, for me, this one did. The food was top quality. You can tell much detail and care was given to the preparation and thoughtfulness behind the dish I had. I liked the quaint feel of the restaurant. It shares its space with a coffee shop but sets itself apart with set hours.
The chef brought my food out and explained each portion to me. Quite an unexpected delight. I can't wait to bring out of town visitors here.
