California Burrito is a good fast food Mexican establishment , if you like their food the best one is on Railroad. Not only is the food better , but they thoroughly cook your food and get your order right .
At the railroad location when I order the carne asada fries , I do not like guacamole so I always order with extra cheese. Instead of charging me for the cheese they actually TELL me they’ll substitute it in replace of the guacamole and don’t charge me extra. Not only that , today I orders from the Antioch location and this is like the third time my food is undercooked. The fries look as if they literally browned them in oil & tossed into the container and threw some meat , cheese and sour cream on top. First bite I was like I was craving this so much , the second bite , wasn’t as desiring , by the time I reached maybe my fifth bite I was done. The Fries were hard and still semi frozen. I did call the restaurant and notify them of this & the lady who answered told me basically I was lying and they cooked them. I had to explain to her I bit into a fry , and it’s not done at all. We came to the agreement that I would come into the restaurant with receipt and food to rectify the order.

From a San Diego native, I love their authentic and hard to find ROLLED TACOS. while Pittsburg location BURNED THEM, Antioch cooks them PERFECTLY & CONSISTENTLY. I also love their grilled peppers and onions and their guava Agua Fresca. Seriously I don't eat fast food for health and financial reasons but this place makes me break my own rules. Lol. Thank you. Service could be kinder with a smile but the food brings me back. Sometimes their service leaves a lot to be desired. But never does their food.
I've only gone to the Pittsburg location twice. Once I got 5 burned roll tacos and the second visit. My role tacos had toothpicks and pieces of wood in it. Trust me, stick with this Antioch location.

My husband ordered the birria tacos. He had to drive 20 minutes back to give them it right back! I wish we had of opened it before we got home. This was from a video I took, sadly it won’t let me upload the video. The stew was like dirty water, and tasted absolutely disgusting, the tacos were absolutely awful and the worse I’ve ever ate. I’ve never had a problem here before, but I can’t believe they actually served me this. I’ll never go again! Thank you to the lady who dealt with the situation, she was very professional and kind, but again, can’t believe they’d serve this! Very disappointing and so much time wasted, also did not give us a full refund.

The food is overpriced for what you actually get. I’ve only used the drive through because I work in the area at night and it seems like the night shift staff become inconvenienced by your patronage and it shows in the attitude and the service provided.

I came here last night for a quick meal and ordered the California super burrito with steak and potatoes, no rice. The burrito was good and flavorful, but there was hardly any steak or potatoes. It was mostly beans and the other fillings. I would have been slightly okay with it but I paid $20 for the burrito and the drink. For that amount, I’d expect more steak and potatoes. The salsa was good but could use more heat. The service was great and brought my review up to 3 stars instead of 2. Maybe ordering in Spanish would yield better results.

This is the only fast food taco place I will go to.. their food is always good.. the last taco was a carnival taco.. I could have made 3 tacos out of this one taco.. So good
Used the be fast and friendly now the girl working couldn’t handle taking orders and would only take drive thru orders while five people waited in line. A phone call came in and she literally picked it up and hung it up without acknowledging whomever called. That was it for me. Save your time time and money and go to a better more friendly Mexican food restaurant.

Beats fast food any day. Real food real fast though. Taste like any mom and pop sit down restaurant, Authentic Mexican joint! The Salsa is on point. Just the right heat. won't pass by without stopping ever again. Chili Verde was smacking.
