My in-laws have been coming here for years and since little manual's closed i gave it another try. The food was just ok, it did not taste authentic. Mariachis were nice as well as the servers.
Excellent food, great drinks. I had the shrimp and carne asada nachos. I swear it was the best nacho I ever had. Plump Succulent shrimp. With a mixture of cheese sauce and melted cheese. I ate every single bite. Can't wait to make that 40 minute drive again...
Our second visit, wanting them to redeem themselves from our first visit. Didn't happen. Very bland food. Not talking peppery, just very little flavor. I don't know, maybe lots of people like mild, tasteless Mex food. My wife and I make our own chicken enchiladas that put their food to shame, and we're Italian/Irish! Don't get it! Sadly, nothing left in Antioch for good Mexican food.
Furniture and decor clean and authentic. Servers polite and attentive. Food well-prepared and arrived in a timely manner on hot plates. Some weekdays have Val-Pak coupons.
Because there was a great atmosphere that makes you feel like you're visiting a family member's home, service that is attentive and friendly and food that everyone at the table fully enjoyed, I will be coming back very soon. I highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere to eat you give Celia's a try.
We Love This Place!!! The staff is great and the food tastes great! They are always busy yet somehow hardly ever a wait time to be seated, always get seated right away... Thursdays, they have a Mariachi band... The food portions are big, authentic, and hot (temperature wise)...

I am from the Bay area where flavor is everywhere. This in my opinion is very bland, I haven't been back since the first time I went in 2011. However the customer service and atmosphere were excellent

Outstanding restaurant! Celia's Mexican Restaurant offers very tasty food and drinks in a traditional setting. Food and drinks are served quickly by friendly staff members. Our meals were very flavorful and had all the right spices. Clean restrooms, and plenty of parking here. We will be back.
