I'm not sure why the quality of the food changed but I was disappointed with the flautas plate and chicken sopes. The beans and rice were tasteless, the flautas over fried and the base of the sopes appeared to be a refrigerated pastry shell. There were more chunks of onion in the chicken filling of the flautas more so than meat. I've given this establishment multiple opportunities. My very first visit was good and a few more times after slowly downhill. I can no longer support this establishment. My meal today was uneatable and not worth $24.00. So today was my first time here at Chavelita’s as my usual spot just hasn’t been the same lately. That being said I was very impressed with both the service and the food. I ordered a vegetarian burrito and ended up making it a super and got ceviche tostadas for my brother. The restaurant looked like a nice sit down spot, the chairs were beautifully painted in bright colors. I enjoyed how fresh everything was and the portions in the burrito were perfect, sometimes places put a little too much of certain ingredients that can throw the burrito off. My brother also said he enjoyed his food. I will definitely be back again in the future.
