I went there today with friends, as soon as we came in the customer service was horrible. We were a group of 6 the server didn’t want to put the table together until our group of 6 people were there. We asked to move to another table, and she was extremely rude about it. We also asked for an extra menu and she said to “scan the menu” instead of giving us an extra menu. Not only that our service was in a hurry to take our order. She didn’t come back to check on us once the food came back. Customer service was horrible and my food tasted rotten like if something had gone bad in my burrito. I had a carnitas burrito; my friend ordered the street chicken tacos and the chicken was salty. We had to flag her down just to get some shots once we asked what kind of tequila they had she stated “we have an open bar” with an attitude. Horrible food and service

The decor inside is really fun. I went in and ordered 4 tamales ala carte to go and 1 corona while i waited. It was approximately 34$ + tip. The tamales were pretty big but smothered in sauce. They were decent but unfortunately I won't be back. That's just way too much $ for what I ordered. I believe I was charged full entree price, even tho I specifically told the server I would be back for a lot more tamales if they were good. But not at approximately $ 7 each.

Chilled out place with some good decoration character! Food is generally better than the average Mexican restaurant. Server was friendly and had some good suggestions. Quality of the ingredients itself can be improved.

This has been our go to family place for Mexican food for many years. But due to the great increase in prices last month (yes I know it happens but this is not this first time) making all items $2-3 more. Including margaritas which were already $10. Now $12…. We will have to find another affordable place or go less often. Combined with the unfriendly service we got this latest visit I think we will just try to find a new place. The waitress was so mean.
It’s no longer the same. :(

EDIT: if the response is from the owner this tells me all I need to know. I did complain about the servers attitude when she refused to split the checks. As well as her lack of service the entire time. This has been done for us before by other servers and they would get a better tip than the 18% added on to bigger parties. Maybe they did it as a favor who knows? Either way this was the worst server we have had here in the 10 yrs we have been going.
This one rudely tells us no and proceeds to give poor service because she knows she’s got the 18% either way. That’s crappy. She doesn’t have to actually provide good service because it’s added on. You can tell people no, but nicely. Lose the attitude. And they still deserve attentive service even though the tip is a given.
Also, prices have raised at least twice since 2021. And I understand it is necessary in some cases to stay afloat. But like you said, poor service is a whole different thing! Which I guess is condoned.
So thanks for the response. It’s very telling.

On a lovely Sunday afternoon, me and my family decided to go to this restaurant to have dinner and I noticed that it wasn’t any shrimp in my order of shrimp taco with cost 15.99 . The order came with two soft tacos with two dice of shrimp so I decided to ask the waitress about , she not knowing my two cousins were regular at the spot. So the owner can and was ok until I addressed the yield of shrimp per taco in my order for the cost so I took a picture of tacos and give a review.

Our waitress acted as if she was doing us a favor waiting on us. Forget about asking for more salsa or chips. She pointed to a tiny bit left and said “you have some” even though we paid EXTRA for chips and salsa! This place used to have a very friendly family feel. Knew my father in law and what he ate… Not anymore. They were very busy. Very noisy. Our waitress ignored us most of the evening and we constantly had to ask other servers for help even just to pay our check, she ignored us. While the chicken enchiladas are good, my taco salad was actually dry. Weird. Anyway, I prefer giving my hard earned dollars to a business that appreciates, and treats everyone, with courtesy and respect. This was our first bad experience but, I won’t go back due to that server and she ruined the first time the entire family of only 6 people were together in over 10 years! Such a bummer

Vegetarian options: Never had vegetable fajitas where the veggies were steamed and then just thrown on top of the onions, bell peppers, etc. which gave them no flavor. Waitress was completely unaccommodating to make a a stay vegetarian by just substituting vegetables for meat. Very limited and have had many vegetarian options at most other Mexican restaurants.

You get a lot of food for your money and it is good too. The salsas are excellent and so is the bean dip. The Chile relleno and chicken enchiladas are on point. The chicken tamale was a bit dry, but had good flavor.
