Since our favorite Chinese restaurant, Wongs, has gone out of business, we have been looking for a new place. This might be it. We enjoyed the food and portions were large.
This is our 2nd visit. We think it is the best since Wongs went out of business.

Cook did not follow order, but they charged extra anyway. Called to let them know and she wasn't concerned.

Best Chinese food in East County! The new owners have really turned this place into a gem. I’ve eaten here twice and both times the food has been great (and I’m really picky) All of the freshness and flavors brought me back to good Chinese food you typically only experience in San Francisco. I highly recommend the soups (hot and sour/egg drop) as well as their combo fried rice, beef chow fun, and prawns with vegetables. Try their family dinner menu, it’s a fantastic way to experience the food and service, and very affordable!!

I dined in for lunch not too busy and got my food in a snap of a finger . Keep up the good work Empress Garden and love the new look.
