I was visiting my family in the Bay Area so I 100% had to visit L and L since I don’t really have any close to me. And the one Hawaiian place we do have is really disappointing despite having a really amazing atmosphere. I love that this place gives hole in the wall vibes, as that’s how you know the food is going to be good. The Kalua pork is my favorite and my daughter loves the BBQ chicken plate. I really don’t like macaroni salad and forgot to ask for all rice. But when I asked if it could be accommodated despite them already in the cooking process, they did so without complaint. I would have accepted the plate as is but it was kind of them to help me out. I will visit this location every time I come and visit as they have never let me down.
Wheelchair accessibility: This restaurant is in a strip mall of sorts, so there is accessible parking and a dip so you can easily get onto the sidewalk. The door is on the main floor and has no steps to get in. The tables have individual chairs that can be removed to accommodate a wheelchair easily.
I absolutely love the food, but the customer service is horrible. Maybe the older guy shouldn’t be taking orders. I never eat there because it seems so dark and just not a friendly atmosphere. Overall, the food is delicious!!!

To begin let me just say that the food is good here… It is just a customer service that is not. The old Asian guy who stands in the front was very rude to me and my family. When I first walked in I noticed that he greeted one customer and was being very nice to him, but then when I approached, he asked me what was my order for DoorDash, and he just threw it on the counter and pointed. He then threw sauce when we asked for extra sauce…. I was not please with the food experience here they need better customer service

The staff/owners here are very rude. We walked in, My sister is special needs, she walked over to a table to grab her wallet out of her backpack. They stared at her the whole time as if she was a homeless person. I looked at the lady at the register and let her know she was with us because I seen them staring her down as if she was doing something wrong, even with me saying she was with us, she still continued to watch her. No reason for that! We ordered. Got our food, they have 1 dipping sauce for 3 plates of food. I walked over and asked them for 1 more sauce, they refused to give it to me and instead the guy threw a jar of BBQ sauce at me and said here use this. I wanted to dip my food in the sauce, not pour it all over my food, so my leftover would be soggy later on. The meat was burnt and barely chewable. The soy sauce was extremely salty. We spent $50+ on food here to be treated horrible and told no to a 2nd sauce container. Like that container cost them scents, and you can't give me one to dip my food in after spending $50+ on your food, come on! Think before coming here

The food is not as good as it used to be. The meat portions have gotten skimpy. I ordered the "crab rangoons," NOT a single shred of crab in them, just a bunch of sweet cream cheese. The food is fresh, the dining area + bathroom were clean, and the service was good!

please do not eat here!!! ive been sick since this past thursday afternoon it's now Sunday. i've had consistent diarrhea and am super nauseous since eating the food. i dont typically complain about food but something had to be said so other's won't end up in the same boat that I am right now. Also this place is very unsanitary. People on the register were super rude when I went ordered as well. I'm very disappointed in the service, food, and overall I will not ever eat L & L BBQ again. If I could give zero stars I would.

If I could give a zero stars to this place I would. My husband (of mixed race but is predominantly Black) and our friend (Filipino) were picking up food for my birthday party. He lets the cashier know his name and number to pick up his order. He then proceeds to be hounded by another woman who came out of nowhere to repeat his information. After he explains he just gave it to them twice, fully paid in person days in advance, AND had the receipt, she would not let up until he gave his info again. When he finally did, she screamed out “THANK YOU” in annoyed tone and walked away. The cashier said “there’s been a lot of people that come and steal food that look like you”. My husband made it clear that he is now aware of their racially stereotyping before grabbing the food and leaving.We have bought food from this place three times for catering, and this will be our last. We will never come back here again.
