We order from Chicho's nearly once or twice a week. Favorites are the steak fajita plate I had at lunch w/ Julie T and met Chicho himself! He made this and some other great sounding recommendations. Other favorites are the shredded beef tacos (the best!) ; the Burrito De Chile Colorado, also delish, carne asada tacos, refried beans (the only place we will eat them! So good!) and their red chunky salsa. I'm sure we will try other dishes, but for now we are stuck on these! Just noticed my review shows I'm in San Francisco! OOOPS YELP! I'm in Apple Valley, CA.

Great ambiance, decent prices, great service, and the food was delicious! Owner was there and working hard, also was helping his employees, all signs of a great leader! Most Mexican food places only give red salsa with chips, this place gave a red and green option. Both were good! Chips were perfect and not overly salty like most other places. The waitress was very helpful and polite, offered great customer service. If you want a BIG wet type burrito go for the BIG PAPA! Comes with choice of meat, rice, sour cream topped off with cheese and very tasty sauce. Very delicious and filling! Will definitely go back for other tasteful options!!!!!!!

First time I had been to Chicho's. Lo and behold to my surprise, its is owned by Chicho who I knew soooooo many years ago when he worked at another restaurant! He recognized and remember me right away. I was there for lunch with a friend who suggested we go there. She had the steak fajitas and loved them. Said the steak was very tender. I had the lunch Chile verde. Great flavor and tender chunks of pork. The sauce was very flavorful. I also enjoyed both the red and green salsa with the chips. Nice kick to the red. I will absolutely be back. So many choices on the menu. Then environment was peaceful. We were there right at lunch time on a Monday so not too many others there. Service was quick and attentive.

Tonight was the 4th time I've ordered here., it was becoming my regular place, probably would have gone at least once a week til the end of time until tonight. The first 3 times the food was excellent, ordered one Chile Verde burrito every time and also one more wet burrito that was different every time. The prices are ridiculous, costing close to $50 for two people every time. But the food was good. I had always added the optional side of rice and beans on just one burrito, and received a whole take out tray of half rice/half beans, plenty for two people, so no need to pay an additional $4.50 for even more. But this time I had my kids, and they don't like spicy stuff, so I ordered my usual two burritos, but added rice and beans to both this time. I usually tip anywhere from 10%-20%, but I'm broke, and I also think it's out of line for a restaurant to ask you for a tip BEFORE you get any food or any service, and it's out of line to ask for a tip for TAKEOUT, where you're not even being waited on. So I didn't tip this time, because it's really unfair. I also didn't notice any difference in the quality of the food when I tipped 20% or 15% or 10%. But this time there was a definite difference. The food was awful. Instead of 2 whole platters of rice and beans like I expected, that were going to feed my kids, I got nearly nothing, just some barely visible small scoops of rice and beans on each side of the burritos, covered in sauce and hardly distinguishable. The food was cold, tortilla was soggy, and there was a weird sweetness that hadn't been there in the other Chile Verde burritos I had ordered. Sour cream was kinda funky, too. Way less food, I ate my whole platter and am still hungry, before I could make at least 2 meals out of it. I can't help but think it's because I didn't add a huge tip to an already overpriced meal for takeout that I picked up and ate at home, no delivery, no waitress. So that's the last time I'm giving them almost $50 out of the $300 I make a week! I'm really mad, I feel like picketing outside their establishment and encouraging people to eat elsewhere. "They Spit in Your Food if You Don't tip for takeout!" Which I am thinking they did. In any case. NEVER AGAIN. Horrible experience, I feel violated. Robbed. Conned. Nauseous. Chicho sucks! Boo! Hiss!

I don't know what I'm assuming the owner's wife's problem is with me, but she has repeatedly got my simple order wrong, and even charged me wrong, chicho is incredibly charismatic but I'm tried of this and won't be coming back.

I love chichos everything in the menu is delicious and the best thing in my opinion is the green enchiladas (verde enchiladas). The ambiance is very traditional Mexican memorabilia very home and cozy like. The service is great very friendly and hard working, always seated and asked what to drink when you sit and provided with delicious chips and salsa. 100% recommend

My son and I had dinner here and the food was fantastic and our servers were very helpful and attentive. My only complaint is that our wine margaritas were pretty crappy and a strange neon green. That's ok because we will come back for the food and have beers instead! My son had their house specialty Jack tacos while I had steak fajitas. Great food, good portions. Thanks
