Armitage wines offers a truly outstanding experience. It is not just the great history of the estate which was formerly owned by Alfred Hitchcock, but the delicious and high quality wines that you can sample in this amazing setting. The current owners are very welcoming and attentive and especially dedicated to creating a great tasting experience for their guests. We spend a whole afternoon trying the different wines and I have to say it is rarely the case that I am as pleased with the sampling as I was at Armitage. Next to this, the vineyard offers amazing views. Tucked away in the redwood trees you can see for miles while overlooking the grapes from the top of the estate. When the sun sets in the afternoon, it makes for an amazing play of light and shadows. We truly loved visiting this place and will definitely come back. It is well worth a trip. Armitage Tasting Room is one of my favorite places to visit. I took some girlfriends here to celebrate my birthday and had the best time. The wine is always amazing and Sarah the Somalia always gives the best experience. Health is wealth when drinking wine at Armitage and hanging out with Sarah.

Tasting room is cute, small and inviting. Art on the walls is rite up my alley and resembles the art on the Wine labels. Sarah was our sommelier, she was rite up our alley. Down to earth, kind, and attentive. I tried The Estate Flight, every wine was satisfactory but the one that stood out the most is The Pinot Noir Estate, so yummy, has warmth, sweetness, with just the rite amount of tannins. Definitely will be back.

I've been a wine club member at quite a few of the SC Mountain Wineries, and Armitage wine, the tasting room, and the crew are all just a bit above the rest. Brandon is an amazingly talented winemaker, Sara, Beth, Kelly are always so gracious and fun. They remember your name, they take the time to explain the wine to you. They sponsor the Tiny Winery Concerts that are so much more fun and intimate than the big name winery concerts over the hill. The wine, the people, and the respect they show for both the art of winemaking, and the people who support them leave little else to be desired. Do go to the tasting room and become familiar with this local gem. You will be glad you did. Did I mention they have THE BEST Pinot? Yah, that too.
