[Pictures of Filet Mignon $70, Steak and frites $30]
Price to portion was insane, food quality was mediocre at best. Vegetables were simply warm, not cooked. Potatoes tasted/had the texture of $2 boxed au gratin... cups used had to be sent back due to old food being stuck to the glass... waitters were curt and seemed annoyed.
Attended a big party dinner at this spot. The food was all good. Nice spot. The dessert was amazing, Crème Brûlée was sooo good.
Romantic spot for the couple, a great hangout for the locals and super pet friendly for the animal lovers. Great atmosphere and ambiance.
Still can’t believe what I paid on my last visit for something I would expect at a local dinner. My last trip was such a disappointment. First, the hours had not been updated online before they changed them, second when we did get seen at opening we got zero bread the entire meal (none), last the food was not great, we had steak, and it was rare when we ordered medium, last we asked for a basic salad, just greens, and got blue cheese and everything else. At $160.00 for two meals, this was not great. I won’t be going back.
Incredible service!! The team at Bittersweet Bistro might be the best team in Northern California. Everyone is friendly, professional, & paid attention to every detail. They really made our experience perfect!!!
The food. WOW!! Our party ordered fillet, chicken Parmesan, halibut, raviolis, short ribs, scallops, and every single dish was delicious!!
The dessert . Next level. The dessert platter is one of the best dessert platters ever served. They make everything in house the lemon number amazing. All of the sorbet flavorful and delicious . The strawberry sorbet was my favorite. The brownie so good. Bottom line you will not be disappointed with any dessert you order.
Now the dessert martinis. Absolutely delicious. Strawberry rhubarb a table favorite.
My photos really do this place no justice bottom line, you’re gonna love it!!
Service sucked but food was great
The place is amazing and their food is delicious
Food was ok not for price. Service was mediocre at best. Would not go back
We sadly had an absolutely horrible experience dining here. This was truly the worst service I’ve ever had. Our family had flown in for the holidays and we chose Bittersweet for our special high end family meal. There was a large party in the room playing games making so much noise (much louder than a sports bar or concert venue type scene) we couldn’t hear each other at all, and it ruined our dinner. When we asked to speak to management it took multiple requests and when they finally came out they were aggressive with us and threatened to call the police. We tried to reason with them and they repeatedly said “I don’t care!” -The food was good, tho not at worth the extremely terrible service and beyond rude management.
Really fresh and amazing food. Outdoor area is really cute and good for groups of all sizes

Great staple in Aptos, one of the better restaurants between Santa Cruz and Aptos, nice variety of land and sea. Lots of outdoor seating (our preferred since the pandemic) we return a few times a year

I ordered sea bass yesterday and it was prepared perfectly. Not knowing the spinach was sauteed with red bell peppers, which I'm allergic to, Chris the manager completely redid the dinner for me! Awesome customer service!!

Food was very disappointing. I moved back recently and it used to be my favorite! Then, when I questioned the server about charging my the wrong price on my food, he said "Sorry" and shrugged his shoulders. I told him that it doesn't look well for the business and he didn't care. I just paid the bill and left. Wasn't worth speaking to the manager.

We were a party of six seated in the indoor dining room in March. The space was lovely, the food was great, but I still can't get over the volume and choice of music from the in-house stereo. First, the place is classy and cozy doesn't need ANY music, and in this case top-40 country, to set the mood. Second, the volume was so obnoxious that I couldn't hear the person across from me let alone the people at the other end of the table. It was such a jarring experience, and I wouldn't return to eat inside simply because of this. I can't speak to the atmosphere on the patio, but I really hope there's no music out there because it's completely unnecessary at this lovely spot.
