What a lovely deli! The sandwiches were great! We hada real variety: bacon for 1, pastrami for another, vegetarian caprese for a third, and I had Italian meatball. A variety of pasta salads, too! The staff kindly set up the outdoor seating for us, cleaning the tables and drying chairs-- and Mother Nature obliged with some warm March sunshine! Lovely place to enjoy with friends! ❤

My family and I have gotten lunch here a few times - items included sandwiches, pasta salad, green salads and pasta. Food was very tasty. Ingredients tasted fresh - I was especially pleased with the pasta (it was a spinach and veal cannelloni and tasted like it just came out of the oven). If you are visiting Aptos - Castelli's is very conveniently located and you can call ahead if you are in a rush! I would recommend you visit Castelli's!

I myself reside in the valley, Santa Clara county, but when I'm visiting my girlfriend in Aptos, Castelli's breakfast sandwich in Seacliff, is a must. It is prepared super fresh, quick, and piping hot! There is always a full attentive staff, even if it is a counter order establishment. They bring everything to you, outside or in, right to your hands.

Horrible service. I went to go get a bagel this morning. I got there at 11:55pm and there was a long line so it was 12pm when I got up to the front to order. The person right in front of me ordered from the breakfast menu with no problem, but when I asked just for a plain bagel and cream cheese from the breakfast menu they told me no even though the guy in front of me ordered it from it. Originally after explaining what happened to the cashier she said she can get me a bagel but then a guy from the back came up to her and said we can't order from the breakfast menu anymore because they put everything away. At this point it was 12:02pm, after waiting in line and just wanting a plain bagel I was extremely frustrated.

A good deli sandwich is truly one of my favorite things to eat. While I am not super picky there are definitely things that set a really good deli sandwich above others.. the ratio of ingredients, the type and texture of the bread, the order of assembly, and of course the quality of fresh ingredients. I stopped in late in the afternoon on a Monday and was greeted by the friendly owner and no wait. I decided to build my own turkey with everything and opted for the soft ciabatta (I have jaw issues). My plan was to take the sandwich home to enjoy but it never made it home! I couldn't wait to eat it and ended up devouring it on the drive home lol. And It was absolutely delicious down to the very last bite! I loved the fluffy bread and it had just the right amount of spread and ticked all the boxes. I also sampled a hazelnut beignet while waiting and it was so good, it literally melted in my mouth! So happy to have Castelli's in my neighborhood and can't wait to come back and try all their signature sandwiches. I think it is safe to say they make one of the best sandwiches in town :)

Finally a good sandwich spot near the beach in Aptos!! Although we kept it simple, both our sandwiches were amazing. It's my second time trying their meatball sub (the Pantheon) and it might be my new favorite comfort food lunch!! The turkey + avo is simple but you can tell how fresh the ingredients are. Can't wait to try their imported Italian desserts next!
