Decided to try this place being close nearby and after seeing4.8 stars reviews. Ireally cant imagine who writes these reviews, they are so mis-leading like some Amazon reviewsI ordered Kung pao chicken with rice. The chicken was NOT white meat and was very tough and rubbery. I only ate a few spoon fulls, wasting the rest. The plate had so much celery and few water chestnuts and peanuts.NONE of the waiters checked back to ask how the food tasted, so I gave up after 15 mins, leaving a 20 dollar bill! The WORST!! Kung Pao ever!!!!!Wasted $20 dollars.. only thing good was the hot pot of tea unfortunately I only drank a few small cups leaving it behind.I hope people start writing honest reviews and not based on sentimentality.

I loved coming here when it was Uncle Kwoks. Its still the same menu with a few extra things. Our waiter was really nice and the food was great.

I don't like giving reviews but a week after ordering Egg foo young takeout, I'm still blown away at how BAD it was. I've eaten this dish many times, but sorry to say it was beyond unsatisfactory. The edges were burnt, the sauce that goes on top was watery like a soup not a sauce. I would have taken it back but it was late in the evening and after a day of work and a Ten mile or more drive home, I had to eat some of it but I'll never return to this restaurant. I can't believe it has a 4.9 rating! I can cook a better egg foo young, and I am not Chinese! Sorry to have to post this

Greasier than I expected. Combination Chow Mein was tasty but greasy. But I'll support local and see if they can get better.

Best Chinese place I’ve found in the area. Would recommend takeout as the atmosphere has room for improvement.

Beware!!! DO NOT EAT INSIDE!!!We sat down a party of 6. We were handed menus and they took our order pretty fast. After 30 minutes we still haven't received any food. Finally 10 minutes later they gave us appetizers. The portions are all very small. We finished it right away and waited another 40 minutes for the entrées that came one at a time 10 minutes apart. Meanwhile we saw people ordering to go food and left quickly. They were prioritizing the to go orders. There were also only 3 other tables that were getting very upset they weren't being served as well. This was the worst experience I have ever had in a Chinese restaurant. We left very upset, had to pay the entire bill and kids were still hungry from their small portions.

The overall experience was good. The place could use a little sprucing up, some new ceiling tiles. The food was really good! Very fresh and yummy. Friendly and kind staff. Would recommend and will go again. Their orange chicken is the best I've ever had.Vegetarian options: You can order any dish with or without meat.Dietary restrictions: They will easily accommodate as needed.

We were very excited to try out this restaurant since we haven't had Chinese Food in Aptos before. After reading the reviews, we were thrilled to try it out. When we arrived, after making a reservation, there were only three other families there. They sat us down at a table, then asked us to move tables. That is the only interaction we had with the staff after a whole half hour. We were not acknowledged, or told that they would be right with us or sorry for the delay. We ended up walking out. However, we decided to DoorDash to see how the food was. The DoorDash was delayed quite a bit as well. But when the food arrived, we were all pleasantly surprised. The food was actually very tasty. Some of it needed a little bit more salt (which is rare for Chinese Food ) but in general tasted great. We would definitely order food from this place again, but would not recommend eating in.

The food was good. The mu shu shrimp was very good but the pancakes were old and crumbled up which made them useless when you tried to use them. We ordered shrimp chow mein and when we opened it up at home it was chicken chow mein. We haven't eaten in the restaurant yet but we're looking forward to trying different things on the menu

Went there on a Friday night, it was pretty busy with take-out and there was only one person helping both seated guests and pick up. Needless to say it affected service. The people were nice, just overwhelmed. The food was soulless. I was actually surprised to learn the chef was actually Chinese. One of the items we ordered came out with different ingredients than posted on the menu so we sent it back. When the bill came we had to remind them of the returned cancelled item for credit. Maybe it's better for take out but the food was meh!
