Loft Coffee

This is the greatest cafe in Santa Cruz and I’ll fight you. It’s beautiful, friendly and clean with mostly well-priced food options, though one time I got a microscopic avocado toast for $9.

Fantastic customer service! Everyone is always so kind and happy to chat:) Always quick and great quality coffee! I love their seasonal options. Their breakfast sandwiches are super yummy and fresh. Always clean, always great music playing. Baby changing table available in the bathroom and room for a stroller if needed, plenty of parking, and lots of indoor and outdoor seating options.

Decent atmosphere and the staff is on cue. Would love to see sit up in the loft with other when I see em up there but unfortunately this establishment isn’t 100% friendly whe it comes to those with physical challenges so it’s not accessible to all such is the case with most establishments in Santa Cruz

But the vibe is great the staff are the best

What a great sausage egg biscuit. Love this place. Lots of area to spread out—main level, in a loft area, or outside. Plus these guys are doing real good. 5 stars.

I have been coming here pretty much since they opened. They have a great atmosphere, lots of coffee choices and food choices. Also, the staff is super friendly. Deven, Donny, Scully, Jake and the others really care about the customers and put a smile on your face ! I highly recommend Loft Coffee, I'm there every week! 🐳

A great spot to grab a great cup of coffee, tea or a delicious sandwich.

Great place to get a drink and a pastry! Their ham and cheese croissant is fantastic. My husband is a coffee snob and this is in his top 2 coffees in the county, while my son-in-law is 2ill7ng to take a trip out of his way to get it because it is his favorite. Great service and great vibe!

They charged me 50 cents for a little less ice in my cup. For a nonprofit, they’re raking in the funds. I did not order a nitro, I ordered an iced mocha, which sadly tasted muddy. 😭

This is a hidden gem. The people who work here are very friendly, and the coffee is good. There are several pleasant areas to sit in.

Iced Vanilla Latte was super good!
Iced Chai was absurdly gross. Like they just poured cinnamon powder in milk.
Ordered a small lemonade for $4 and watched the barista pull out a gallon of costco lemonade into a 12oz cup and handed it to us, wasn’t refrigerated, no Ice, just a cup of room temp lemonade.

Also ordered the medium iced chai and vanilla latte but were given smalls. When we asked the baristas what size they were, they looked annoyed and told us “well we gave you the size you ordered.”

This place is perfect as a modern study vibe. You can come here to do work, hangout with friends, or just sip on some coffee which is priced below average but tastes immaculate. The service was beyond exceptional and the wifi is extremely fast. I highly recommend anyone to come and check it out, great upstairs seating with my only recommendation being to have another couch space on the other side of the upper level. Currently there is one couch space, but a second one with tables in the middle of the space would be fantastic.

Also what was surprising was that for as modern and trendy as this place is, there is a mix of all age groups which was nice. It isn't just a place for younger people. Fantastic open breathable space with a lot of seating space.

Recommendations to the owner/staff:
- 2nd couch space on the other side of the upper level
- More outlets around the shop, ideally one more on the upper level and 2 for the tables.
- Upstairs bathroom? That would be awesome!
- Slightly longer hours would be fantastic for people who work/study a bit more.
