Marguerite, the owner, as well as Victor and Derek, were gracious, welcoming hosts, serving excellent wine at reasonable prices. The TerraCotta and Chardonnay stood out, in particular! Holy refill been bed! Excellent setting, beautiful lavender and vines, we had a memorable time!
I really enjoyed my flight, especially the Terra Cotta. Great, knowledgeable staff. Very comfortable and inviting vibe.
GO HERE! Lovely atmosphere, lovely staff, lovely ownership, LOVELY WINE!!!
Nicholson Vineyards was so accommodating to us! When we visited, we had a 10-month old who had just fallen asleep in her car seat after being very fussy and crying through the entire last winery. We asked if we could stand by our car to do the tasting since we didn’t want to wake up our daughter. They did us one better - they moved a table right in front of our car so we could enjoy tasting while keeping an eye on her. Amazing! The wines were wonderful. The views were wonderful. We bought a couple bottles and the olive oil - so good! Can’t wait to come back.
Gorgeous winery with fabulous wines! Definitely worth a visit.
Wonderful place. Best service. Super good price for a tasting. Lovely patio and atmosphere. You sit right by the wine field. We loved it!
We were two families out for wine tasting on a lovely day, but warning: don’t bring your kids to this winery—not a child friendly venue. We sat at outdoor picnic tables and the kids wanted to run around and play. It would have been easy to have some lawn games for kids to stay engaged away from the adults, but nope. The staff followed the kids around, policing them and telling them everything they couldn’t do. We sent them off property to play elsewhere and the staff followed them and told them they couldn’t play there either! Totally ridiculous.
Great ambiance and wine tasting
We met friends at Nicholson Vineyards and the experience was great. The tasting menu had 5 wines: viognier, chardonnay, pinot noir, petite sirah, and zinfandel. Our server was professional and the wines were a treat. The surroundings are beautiful and we enjoyed every minute. We didn’t order food except the raspberry dark chocolates at the end and they were amazing. You’ll need a reservation here, so plan ahead. Also, totally dog friendly. We left ours at home, but there were many well-behaved pups here and they added to the experience.
Great wine with excellent views and even better staff

The staff are so welcoming and very knowledgeable. The site is gorgeous. Lots of fabulous events throughout the year. And of course, fantastic wine! Several different varieties - all delicious. The owners have a devoted passion for the winery and members and visitors. 5 Stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
fine wines, great ambiance and the staff is the very best!
Everything perfect!
Beautiful vineyard, excellent wines. Staff brought us extra utensils and a cutting board to help with the picnic we brought to have with the wine we purchased at the vineyard. The owner, Marguerite, was very friendly and we had a great time chatting about the wines, farm, and family. The wines were all excellent, we especially liked the Sangiovese/Syrah blend and the Amador-sourced Zinfandel. We loved it so much we joined the wine club so we can enjoy the wines while back home on the East coast and help support a lovely small business and family. Visit if you can, I'm sure you will love it too.
We tasted at three different wineries in the region today and this venue and wine quality was by far the best. Mike and Michelle were great hosts. Would strongly recommend to visit this winery when coming through the area.
