When my family comes in from out of town, they almost always choose Palapas. Why? They accommodate large parties with a smile, the food is always good and hot, and I never feel rushed. Everyone tries different things, but I can't get past the combo enchilada platter. There's also a great view from almost every table.
Long time SC residents and we decided to re-visit Palapas in Seascape. Our server was pleasant. Place hasn't changed in over 20years and unfortunately its time to do so. Food was basically tasteless and portions small for what you're (over)charged. Margarita's $15+!?! The restaurant was freezing cold and everyone was wearing their sweatshirts and jackets. Not good. Thanks for the nostalgic memories but we're going to wait another 5+ years before we might return.
We arrived for late lunch and ordered the lunch specials. I got the beef enchiladas. Really like the chips but found the salsa a tad disappointing. Otherwise good service and ambiance.
