I don't know what happened to this location.. all the los pericos locations serve some of my favorite Mexican food in the county but the last two visits to this location have been EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING in comparison to the food I've been buying from all the locations in the past

I ordered a California burrito and it was really good but they forgot the guacamole so it was just so heavy with nothing fresh to lighten it up. I just get so peeved when you order a $15 burrito and they forget one of the most important toppings!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We stopped by Taqueria Los Pericos in Aptos for lunch on Sunday, and it was fantastic! I had a burrito, and my partner got the fresh tostada, and both were absolutely delicious. You could tell the ingredients were super fresh. The service was great, too—everyone was very helpful and friendly. On top of the delicious food, the prices were just right. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend this spot!

Thank goodness we have a new and wonderful Mexican restaurant in Aptos!! We won a Gift certificate to this restaurant, as Los Pericos had donated it during the Aptos Sports Foundation fund raiser. We are very satisfied with the food. It’s authentic, tasty, spicy…..GOOD.

This place used to be great, but the quality has dropped off a lot over the past few months. Every time we order a burrito, the carnitas are either replaced with carne asada or so overcooked they’re inedible. The beans and cheese are never melted, and overall it just feels like there’s no consistency anymore. We’ve continued to give it chances, hoping it’ll improve, but it hasn’t. Also, they never answer the phone. Pretty sure the line’s been dead since they set it up.

My one burrito took 32 minutes and they didn't even apologize or acknowledge the wait at all my burrito was cold too and started falling apart after one bite I'm never going to this location again good luck y'all with your 32 minute wait for a burrito
Santa Cruz county has amazing Mexican food. we are very very very lucky.
I have two favorites in Aptos and this one is one of them. probably edges everybody out because their food is so darn good.

Typical taqueria and the food is plentiful but unremarkable. I had the enchilada plate. Except for the meat, it was the usual refried beans and rice. Needed a quick meal, so not disappointed, but just not super impressed. My wife's shrimp taco were well cooked so that was 4-stars.
