This morning (8/23/25) my wife and I entered Venus Pie Trap at 10:50am. We have eaten at the restaurant several times after beach walks as it is a fun setting. There was no one in the restaurant besides us and the 3 young ladies working behind the counter. We browsed the pastry/pie case for a couple of minutes and decided to order a slice of Mexican chocolate pie and Key Lime pie. We moved over and stood in front of the cash register for 4-5 minutes. The 3 workers NEVER made eye contact with us or spoke a word to us. One girl made herself an iced coffee drink, set it on the back counter, and continued speaking with the other 2 girls. Another girl was making drinks for some guys who were waiting outside. The 3rd girl just conversed with the other 2. All three displayed Zero customer service / 100% cluelessness. We walked out of the restaurant without saying a word. We ate at the Venus Distillery/Restaurant next door a week ago and had great service. Quite a contrast to what we experienced today. All three young ladies were lousy ambassadors for the Pie Trap.

Whenever I’m in Aptos, have to stop here grab a coffee and an amazing pastry.

Coffee shop and locally made pastries by morning and take away pizza by day.

I hear they get lines, but I have never encountered one in 20+ times I’ve been here.

They currently have 11th hour coffee and pastries from Manresa bread

Had the pesto pizza with chilis, very good! I have had the coffee here before and it was good. Wanted something to eat so decided to get a pizza, exceeded expectations.

The worst service. Coffee not great. Lady who’s making coffee is very rude with a bad attitude.

I got their pizza with mushrooms and I loved it. But I substituted for the red sauce. #Bombdotcom 😋 😋 🤤 🤤 And to go I got their Chorizo and potatoes empanada. It was really good but the price was too high for such a little pie

This cafe serves all kinds of pies, quiche, pizza pie banana cream pie, and Spinach hand pies. The array of coffees and teas is extensive. The vanilla latte complements the spinach hand pie. Yummy. The staff is quick with the king line today just before the busy 4th of July holiday.
Great outdoor accessible seating in open air venue

Paid $10 for a quiche that was ice cold after being “heated” up only to take another bite & was surprised with a gooey/slimey texture of eggs, little to no ham & a weird aftertaste. 2/10
