Village Host Pizza & Grill

We were there 50 minutes before closing to order pizza. The first was that we were informed that it was only available for take away. The chairs at most of the tables were already set up, which certainly gave the other local guests the impression that they would be finished quickly.
In any case, we were treated very unfriendly by the cashier. No smiles, just stupid sayings when we wanted to ask something with our English. He was obviously annoyed with us, which unfortunately left a bad taste in our mouths. The gentleman who prepared the pizzas was friendly, however.

I wouldn't order there again or anything
who went there because we felt very uncomfortable. Too bad.

For pizza; It was absolutely okay, but nothing special.

Good food, decent service. Really popular, was quite busy on a Wednesday night. There are games for kids and tv for sports, right near beercan beach ??

My home is one block from one of their restaurants, so it is a frequent go-to for my family. We’ve probably had hundreds of meals here and have literally NEVER had anything other than an exceptional dining experience. The food is consistently fresh and delicious. The service is accurate, prompt, friendly and always a pleasure. There is not another business I frequent that I can recommend as highly as Village Host.

Vegetarian options: You can build your own sandwich or pizza, so the options are extensive.

Parking: AMPLE free parking available steps away from their front door.

Kid-friendliness: The layout of the dining room is spacious with easy access. The floor-plan as well as the staff are extremely kid-friendly. They have ample high-chairs available, with tables that comfortably fit them.

Wheelchair accessibility: Very, very easy access.

Trash staff. Excited to come and tell me they rsn out of dough an hour before they close. Bad stars for a reason.

Best pizza ever!!! Been coming here at this location since it opened. They are so heavy with solid toppings you can’t make a mistake … too bad they can’t control the traffic, lol! Keep up the great job. Delicious and staff actually want to work! Clean & pleasant!!!

Food is average. I only order here maybe once or twice a year. Latest disappointment: Their tiramsu isn't a slice of this delicious desert as advertised in a pic on their website but a 7-11 in plastic cup tiramisu that was extremely soggy (as in water at the bottom) and frankly pretty gross.

My family has been coming here for over 20 years and we are amazed by the consistent quality they’ve maintained over time. The burgers are made extremely fresh and hot and are my go-to. The pizza is also quite good. Drinks are affordable and perfect after a long day at the beach. Friendly staff and great service. I just wish they brought back the salad bar - this is the only meaningful difference from the previous decade I’ve noticed.

The fours are closer to 4.5s. The pesto is on point. I actually crave the chicken pesto sandwich often. The folks working there are always so kind and friendly and attentive and Inso appreciate that!

This is my favorite pizza spot in the Santa Cruz area. The quality never disappoints and the people working there are always so nice. Theres plenty of seating for both large and small parties. The arcade style games they have really make this a great place to bring kids, while the beer selection can please the adults. Always such a fun time when I come here. Will keep coming back!
