Went for breakfast this morning.
Only one server, the place was NOT busy. We waited 25 minutes for acknowledgement and for drink orders which were just coffee. The waitress brought the coffee and spilt it on the table, didn’t offer a rag and walked away without napkins for us to clean it. When we ordered our breakfast, she came back to tell us they ONLY will serve scrambled eggs…. Which takes basically every breakfast item off the menu. Another 25 minutes goes by after we had asked for water. My
Mother got up to fill her own and during the time we were there. 2 cats roamed inside on tables, chairs, and jumped up on the counter and drank from the water pitcher my mom had just poured her water from…. It’s baffling. We left and will never return. Unsanitary and the service was awful.

We three had an EXCELLENT brunch there today. We all opted for the California Eggs Benedict. Absolutely Delicious!! Service was impeccable, Atmosphere delightful with the nice Aptos sun ? out. We all just raved about the good food and service. Highly Recommend !!
Wheelchair accessibility: Need someone to help you with your wheelchair - two small steps. Go to the right (not main entrance) toward the outdoor seating. I was on crutches and had No problem.

Ordered steak and eggs, the whole plate was underwhelming, most things tasted under seasoned. Ordered sunny side up eggs, yolks were overdone but parts of the whites were raw, mucus-like texture. Overall still edible but not at all worth the price.

Just had a terrible lunch here on the way to Apple picking. The service was incredibly slow. The waitstaff was absolutely indifferent and the food was mid at best. My clam chowder was inedible. I would not return here. There were two adorable cats roaming around that made all the waiting a bit more pleasant.

Really enjoyed brunch there on a Sunday. The Mediterranean omelette was very tasty and the brussel sprouts were the best I’ve had in a very long time. I’d go back just for them. We’ll be back.

Great coffee, but super cold inside so coffee got cold quickly. One star lost for lack of ADA signs showing the ramp. The back door should be indicated, because it's got an awkward staircase that isn't as inviting as the ramp door. If you have never been there, go in the right side via the ramp and you'll have the best experience. The chicken fried steak and eggs over easy were perfectly prepared, but a teaspoon of salsa and dollop of sour cream, and parsley garnish would have made it more competitive with the Red Apple standard. However, I did ask for salsa and they brought out both roja and Verde salsas both above average to a salsa snob like me. The country potatoes (home fries) were a bit salty and probably would have been better if there were more potatoes but I didn't feel stuffed afterward.
The guest I invited was unable to order the pancake special because they had corn syrup and sugar free syrup but not real maple syrup. I offered to buy a jug of real maple syrup for them so we could have some at the table and they went and got some so they have it now, but we changed our order before he got back. Still, super kind to make the effort to have what customers want!
Finally, I don't drink but they had a great bar and super friendly helpful bartender there who made a bloody Mary for someone and it looked Hollywood the way he made it and presented it. Later he found one of my service dog's missing socks and returned it for us. The server was also super kind and brought a cup of water for my boy. Will definitely return, but will wear a jacket. Thanks folks!
Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp is there but not obvious

Mimosa and latte were great. French toast was super thin and undercooked. Bacon had weird after taste. Like a dirty grill but not in a good way. Might try one more time.

Decent food and atmosphere but the service was strange. I don't think they train the staff.
We had to ask to even order drinks. Three different servers wandered over confused and they weren't even busy.
I would suggest that they instruct waiters to ask for drink orders as they deliver the menus.
We were told they were delayed in the kitchen 20 minutes. Then watched two other tables seated after us get served first.
There's more unfortunately. No baked potatoes even though they were on the menu! They should instruct the staff to tell us what's not currently available.
It was just a confusing vibe all around.

I came here for brunch on a Sunday and was pleasantly surprised with my visit. I ordered the chilaquiles (with added chicken) and my boyfriend got the lumberjack special. I highly recommend the Chilaquiles, it was so good my boyfriend ended up stealing some. The whole vibe inside is nice, very clean and comfortable. The service was great too. The coffee kept flowing and we got checked on several times. I can’t wait to try more off the menu. Definitely making this one of my regular breakfast spots.

Always on the lookout for a great tuna melt and this one from Whale City Aptos was excellent with super fresh, perfectly toasted sour dough and flavorful tuna salad! The salad was so fresh and no extra cost (you can choose salad or fries).

Just had their ham and cheese croissant and man was it delicious. If you're hungry and in Aptos, I highly recommend you try this place. You won't be disappointed and their pastries are amazing (the same pastries from Davenport).
