The hotel seemed new though it’s been open since 2018. Everything was clean the beds and couch were nice and firm. Breakfast was good with lots of choices. The staff was excellent and attentive. We will definitely stay there when we travel to SoCal.
Excellent property and front desk. The property is new, clean and located near many restaurants and near an outlet mall. The front desk was courteous and efficient. The hotel is perfect for overnighting before driving through Los Angeles.
We checked in at four in the morning because we were tired of driving and we were on our way to San Diego and the guy there was very rude. First of all he wasn’t And I had to sit there for 15 minutes till he returned. Then he wouldn’t give me a discount at 4 AM in the morning, which is only six hours I get to sleep. Then they didn’t tell me when breakfast was and I didn’t get breakfast neither so they were very rude at this hotel.
The accommodations at this hotel was good enough for us! Kind of hoped the pool was heated even though it is indoors just because it would’ve been more comfortable for the kids. Other than that, everything worked out great. There were a couple things in the bathroom that was not wiped down.
Stayed here a few days ago as a break on a long drive along Highway 5, for $166 for a king room with pull-out bed. This is clearly a newer hotel and overall the facilities were in great condition. The a/c was noisy though, rattling whenever the condenser would kick in. The bathroom was spacious and clean, with a huge shower. My son was really looking forward to the indoor pool, and it was big and looked great... but was stone cold. Eeegh. Oddly, the pool room was really humid and hot! Unsurprisingly, we were the only people who used the pool that afternoon. Breakfast the next morning was the typical Hampton Inn fare, and was good for us. DIY waffles are always a hit, and my kid's head nearly exploded with glee about chocolate chips and caramel sauce offerings. ;) Scrambled eggs, bacon and breakfast potatoes were the other hot options, plus oatmeal. Would return to this hotel if our travels bring us this way again
Just north of "The Grapevine" or Tejon Pass between LA and all of I-5 CA, this property is close to the outlet shops. There is fast food and a Starbucks in walking distance (same parking lot). This new Hampton was a step up from the last generation of buildings, I much prefer the rooms in the newer buildings for size and configuration. The new properties have much better allocation of space for morning food service. The entire hotel is brighter and has better and more lighting. The feel is just better and cleaner. This continues in the rooms as well. I like that the bed faces the window. I stay here again as it is workable for some of my regular trips. It is a bit pricier than Bakersfield, but then again there are few choices right here.
We were well received and assisted by the extra friendly receptionist who wanted us to feel safe and comfortable while staying at the Hampton after a failed rental vehicle and a bad Enterprise Rental Car Roadside Assistance that left us without the adequate roadside service five hours away from our returning home destination.
We needed a place to stop along our journey. I had read the reviews of the Hampton Inn at Arvin Tejon Ranch and most were extremely positive, so I booked a room. We arrived around 9 in the evening and left the next morning, so we didn't explore the area. However, the staff was welcoming, the hotel felt fresh and clean, and the breakfast was sufficient to get us going for the next leg of our journey.
Service and location are fine, but, as the title says, the price/performance ratio is a little high. I've stayed at comparable properties costing about 30% less. The hot breakfast buffet was adequate and there are several dining options within walking distance. Electronic check-in/out and app-based door locks worked well. The bed and pillows were comfy; no road noise. The pool and spa were not open when I stayed, but the fitness room was open.
I just stayed at this Hampton Inn and it was a nice overnight after a six hour drive. I wanted a quiet room and it was... I did not want to get back in the car for any type of food even though there are many choices in the location, so I was pleased to find frozen choices that I could just stick in a micro and a quick meal was out of the way...I never went back down for the Hagen-Daz, but I thought about it!
