Two out of town era looking for some wine on a Friday AM! We loved it, the ambiance is amazing we sat at the bar with a beautiful fish tank to look at while getting served! We came in for a tasting and left with two bottles because the wine was that fantastic. Scott the owner was an amazing server and we had a blast. 10/10 would recommend his Cabernet Sauvingon (the Rebecca) is fantastic for any can lovers out there.

I had a five star experience at Alapay and felt like we were treated like VIP. My friend has a membership here, so we were lucky to try a tasting of the wines they offer. Scott was our server, and he just so happens to be the owner as well. He was very personable and attentive to our table. I appreciate Scott taking the time to explain each pour and making us feel welcome. I can honestly say that there wasn't one wine that I didn't like, and that's pretty rare! I'm not a wine snob, but I do like a good quality wine. We started with the Alapay Grand Cuvee bubbles. It was a dry, crisp and slightly tart brut style sparkling that I really enjoyed. My second favorite was the 2021 Chardonnay. I don't care for buttery chards, but this one had the perfect balance of acidity and a slight hint of silky butter notes. A very well balanced chardonnay overall. For reds, my favorite was the 2021 Bourbon Barrel Rebekah. It's made with 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. This one has notes of smoke and ripe fruits; followed by soft tanins. The Bourbon Barrel aging of this wine makes this extra special. I really enjoyed this one! We also shared a charcuterie board, which was delicious! It was just enough to tie us over until lunch. The ambiance here is open, airy, and a few steps away from Avila Beach. It had an eclectic vibe and offered some really cute wall clocks, clothing for the wine lovers, cute Christmas decor and much more. Overall, I am happy to have finally checked this place out since my friend always raves about it. I can't wait to come back!

The red wines were ALL delicious, and Sammy poured nice sized tastings. She was delightful and friendly. Was pleasantly surprised the tasting price is waived with one bottle purchased. A really nice gift selection. High recommend!

Alapay is must stop for boutique wine tasting at its finest. Scott the owner winemaker and his staff make you feel at home and at ease explaining the wines subtleties and nuances. I have been a member around 15yrs and have rarely passed on a wine from sparkling to big red blends. The reserves are gems. A selection of wines for all occasions. Great tasting room large aquarium upscale vibes and new 12:01 lounge renovations.

How much fun is it to go to a great winery where you get to meet the winemaker of so many remarkable wines is such a great setting of Avilla Beach California? This is one of the few wineries where ALL the wines are fantastic! I taste a lot of wine but Scott does such a good job through all the whites, reds, and dessert wines that every single bottle you want to purchase. Aligned with the great wines they have great service, whether it is Scott himself for Amy and Sammy it is awesome! Keep up the good work Allapay team and we will be back all the time.

We stop here whenever we visit Avila to taste a few wines and buy a few. Scott and team are very hospitable. White, red, reserve very tasty. This time we joined their wine club. The tasting room is roomy and very inviting. We always end up leaving with a shirt, sweatshirt or cute item. Thanks Alapay.

I found this gem while visiting Avila Beach solo for the day while my husband was doing some business up there. I sat down ordered a glass of wine to enjoy the music. I paid the bill asap because I knew my husband could show up at anytime to and it was quite crowded so I didn't want to wait for the bill if I needed to meet him outside. Anyway not too long after that my husband showed up he took a sip of my wine and liked it so I gave it to him and I proceeded to order the rosé. Fast forward she brought the bill again and I didn't even think to look at it, my husband and then we were back at our hotel I realized she charged me for the 1st glass of wine again. a little bummer since the glasses of wine weren't cheap. Very charming joint though and we will be back whenever we are in town.

Love this cute little winery located in Avila Beach! Their tastings are well worth it, they offer the most samples for their tasting than I've ever received before; and all of the wines are SO good!! The staff is always welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable

The day after we got married in Monterey, we braved Mother Nature's wrath and drove to Avila Beach for 2 nights and 3 days. After checking in to our suite, we walked two blocks to have a glass of wine at Alapay Cellars. 3 glasses later we promised Amy- our phenomenal server we would be back the following day for a proper tasting! Amy provided the best knowledge and customer service!! Some wine tastings are boring and come with a "nose in the air" type of attitude... not at Alapay!! It casual yet refined, comfortable yet elegant! And they have the best tchotchke shopping ever!!! Scott the owner and wine maker was extremely personable and humble and Marnie was a delight!! But Amy made our entire experience so memorable!!! Hopefully she will come taste at the tasting room at the winery we pour at in Alexander Valley real soon!!! If not, we will be back for our Anniversary next year!!!Mike & Sadie, the Newlyweds
