Our favorite spot in Avila! The food menu is simple but it’s literally perfection and such a fun experience shucking your own oysters. We stopped by with our pup and grabbed seats in the cute backyard area where there’s plenty of spots in the shade or at the counter if you want to people. We had a bottle of petnat (loved it!) and a dozen oysters and both were exactly what we were looking for on a hot sunny day. Everything here is local, the petnat is from SLO and the oysters...
The Shuck Shack is just that, a place where you can shuck, or have shucked, your oysters, but it's not a shack at all. It's a sunny, airy and modern space in the heart of Avila Beach where we enjoyed a sublime and leisurely lunch.Come for the wine, stay for the menu. Great oysters, charcuterie boards are the very best, great instruction on shucking oysters ,great wine flights, and even better service. Super friendly and helpful with local amenities. A must stop ?? . They ship wine and other products nationwide.
