FOOD: Never misses! Pastries are so good; flaky, buttery and savory. Plenty of choices from sweet, decadent and savory treats. Breakfast croissants are filling and yummy. I haven't tried their cold sandwiches yet but when I'm in town again I will most definitely give it a try. They offer bobas, coffees and teas. I tried their quarter sheet strawberry filled cake with cream cheese frosting and it was delicious and moist. It was amazing. SERVICE: Always had very nice and welcoming staff. Even when they are slammed they were still very attentive, patient and kind. We loved to see it! They were quick with the service and helpful. AMBIANCE: Cute mom and pop shop. Nothing too crazy or decorative. Clean and no funky smell. Good enough space for quick buys. It is more of a walk-thru type of place rather than a sit down coffee shop nonetheless good eats. Highly recommend in Los Osos. Worth the 30 min drive from Oceano just have to do a little haul each time lol. Try it for yourself. There's something for everybody. Also, their olive rosemary loaf!!! So good for chicken salad sandwiches! Support local!

Bought a chocolate eclair a half hour before closing time. However, the pastry was hard, as was the chocolate on top. I don't recommend buying this delicate pastry so late in the day.Also, bought the round coffeecake with apricot & cream cheese filing. Unfortunately, there's a white glaze poured over it all. Between the sweetness from the jam & glaze, it's like consuming a double dose of sugar. It's sickening sweet. It would be better if the glaze was left off.

Honestly the food here is pretty gross. Microwaved my croissant i to a mushy blob and it was totally tasteless. Threw that away. Tried the oatmeal bear valley cookie. Super flat. Super bland. Threw that away. Bleh wont come back here. I have thrown away whatever i got everytime ive gone now.

We celebrated a graduation while vacationing in Morro. For the graduate we wanted a custom order cake with Squidward graduating on it. Carlock's knocked it out of the park. Not only was the hand drawn Squidward exactly like we wanted but the cake was straight up delicious. Thank you Carlocks!!

Wow, Carlock’s has improved with new owners. I’ve been a customer through the years with the different owners. It’s refreshing again, to buy daily fresh baked breads, savory pastries, sweet pastries/cookies. Their rye bread as well as the cheddar onion are delicious.

Carlock's is a new favorite of mine. A lot has changed over the year or so. Those changes are made with attention towards new, friendly, and invested staff paying attention to you want or need. Food: the scones, tea biscuits, crescents, breads, cookies, and sandwiches our outstanding, truly. I haven't tried the cakes, but I would imagine Carlock's cakes are back to a consistent standard of fresh, and delicious.

Went in today and was going to order but wanted to look at everything first, the girl at the counter (wearing a pink shirt with black hair) mumbled “Jesus Christ” under her breathe and stormed off I guess cause I was taking too long to order? Anyways I left without buying anything cause I felt uncomfortable…. Tho I was starving ? I’m sure it’s tasty here but what the heck…?
