Excellent food! We stumbled on this place after visiting Montana de Oro and OMG I wish we lived here to come more often! Literally everything we ordered was scrumptious (bolognese, pizza, butternut squash ravioli, tiramisu, chocolate pudding)! We all wanted to lick our plates

We stumbled into Hazards by accident when another place in town was closed. But what a great accident. Don't let the rough exterior of the building and the casual, no frills feel of the interior fool you the food here is excellent. We ordered the blistered peppers as a starter. They were delicious. I had a specialty pizza of the evening which was cooked to perfection. The toppings were fresh and perfectly matched. This chef knows her pizza. My wife ate a gf pasta marinara which she loved. The antipasto salad was big enough to split and very tasty . Since that faithful day Hazards has become a regular stop for us. We've come to love the dessert choices. You'll definitely want to save room. Other reviewers have mentioned the noise level. Yes, it can be noisy. So don't go there looking for a quiet romantic get away ...just go there for a really good plate of food and you will be happy.

I hope this place is as good the second time we go there--and there will definitely be a second time. We don't eat inside these days (covid and all), so we took a simple 19" pepperoni pie home (no outside seating), along with some cheesecake, and OH BOY did it not disappoint! The pizza is not NY-style, but also not CA-style; it was somewhere in between, but it was a good somewhere. Would we have loved a good NY-style pizza? Sure, but this was good. There was not too much cheese (a common problem I really don't understand at all), the sauce was FRESH and the crust was not thin and crisp, but not thick and bready--let's just say it folded well, but not perfectly. Pepperoni wasn't too salty--in fact, the sodium content for the whole pie was very tolerable. For those who do eat inside: super cute and cozy, and the staff appeared very genuine (itself a rarity). And the cheesecake? Oh, fuggedabout it. Good gawd. And for $29 plus tip for two, with half a pie left? It's a lovely little place in a sleepy town next to our sleepy little town (with very little good food in it). It's also around the corner from a wonderful little Mexican place and a fantastic bakery next door.

I've ordered the meatball calzone and various pizzas. Place my online orders on their website. I order at 4:20, before they even open. And it is scheduled to be ready at 5:15-5:20. Always ready when we arrived for pick-up. And it is delicious!! My hubby especially loves the pizza and was thrilled when we first ate here. I love the meatball calzone. Not large meatballs but small tasty pieces of meat with a nice chewy crust. And the sauce is the real winner, for me. It's light, loose and flavorful, not like some places, with thick sauce that basically tastes like seasoned tomato paste. If it helps it is similar to to Pizza Port in Morro Bay, because of their thin chewy crust and loose(?) sauce. I'm not sure how to describe the consistency. We find Hazards to be of similar style. They're our favorite Italian food "go-to" in Los Osos, hands down. Reviews say the dining room has slow service. I've never eaten inside but it's cute and quaint, with friendly service, and maybe 7-10 tables? I've always taken my food home but wouldn't hesitate to eat on site. Hazards has yummy food with many options!! Give 'em a try!!

A food was very good. Something definitely different. I've been eating on the Central Coast for years and had not tried this place. Don't know how new it is. Definitely, we'll be back. Service was excellent, and the atmosphere was great. Thanks again, guys.

I go here about weekly and get dinner to take home for my wife and I. For a little restaurant in a small town this place is just great. Real food prepared by people who take pride in their work. The servers, in my experience, are friendly, capable and attentive. What more could you ask for?

Cute little restaurant- parking is minimal- had a difficult time finding an available spot and had to park down the street. Had ordered for pick up and was told it'd be ready in 30 minutes but when I arrived I waited about 15-20 minutes longer. Friendly welcoming staff. Small bar area. Prices are average. I had the butternut squash ravioli which I thought was tasty although the portion was small but it was tasty. We also ordered chicken parmigiana which my son said was ok but didn't think he'd get it again. Was disappointed in the garlic bread we ordered. It was too hard. I had carrot cake and the portion was generous and it was really yummy. Son had lava cake which he said was too dense for him. I think I'd return and try out the pizza or calzone which seemed to be what the locals were ordering. The staff is really nice and seemed to be hard working.
