I walked into the Nautical Bean in Morro Bay on the first day it is open to the public and I was impressed with the remodel of the space. It is similar in style with the two other Nautical Bean locations that I have been to in SLO and Los Osos/ Baywood. I was served by the owner Brett Jones, and his mother and other family members. I thought it was a perfect place to stop spend a bit of the morning with a latte and journal before continuing north to Cambria. The barista was friendly and helpful. I loved that she knew the regular people and their drinks - there is just something refreshing to hear “morning Diane your usual?”
The coffee was fantastic, and so is the beautiful view of the bay. What a cool place to hang out. The only thing I would ask is that they move the line a little bit faster so that we’re not standing there most of the time when we’re trying to hang out with our friends. Even if the orders are backed up at least get people through the line quicker so we can go sit down and chat and hang out by the bay and wait for our name to be called. Versus standing out in line for 20 minutes.
