The Diet Pepsi was good. That was about it. Carne asada fries were awful, I was surprised someone messed that up. Fries were hard, stale, cheese shredded but not melted, and taste was awful. Burrito, carne asada and chicken, both were awful. I can usually still try to eat a mediocre burrito, but this.. this was a no go. The birria was so oily and my daughter couldn't eat more. I was very disappointed. At least I tried. We are ordering pizza now. Was it the chef? Seriously, it was not good. The customer service by the cashier was excellent.

I love this place! Any time I’m in Beaumont, I don’t pass up the opportunity to eat here. The tortillas are always fresh as well as the meat. I usually get 4 tacos with a small consommé for about $13. No complaints *chef’s kiss*

We ordered carry out, waited 20-30 minutes for our food ( Al pastor and Birria tacos) after getting home they forgot the tortillas for our order. After going back they gave us the tortillas and an apology. All the food was more on the bland side. This was our first and last time for this place.

I’m honestly really disappointed. I’ve been coming to Tacos El Cheko for a while now, but after today, I might be done. I specifically asked for handmade tortillas and got the regular ones instead—on top of that, they were all burnt. My daughter’s quesadilla? Completely burnt too. This isn’t just a minor slip-up; it’s straight-up careless. If this is the new standard, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. Quality like this is unacceptable.
