I’m going to give my honest review I was craving some chilaquiles for breakfast and I haven’t been in this restaurant ever since they change ownership. I got a chilaquiles dish and look very delicious I got red and green sauce with carne asada. The green ones were okay. But the red ones not at all needs more like an authentic homemade sauce they where just not good at all and the carne asada was very tender but need it more seasoning. The last time I ate at this restaurant was when it was still called El Picante back in 1999. I remembered what a great family restaurant this was. Today (2025), passing through Bell Gardens, we decided to eat there.
It has changed ownership and is now called Encanto.
The food was as great as it was in 1999! Best ice tea in all of Bell Gardens!
If your in the area, you can't go wrong. Supper friendly staff!

I highly recommended el Encanto Family Restaurant. Aside from the prompt and excellent service, the carne asada plate was delicious. Oh, and the café de olla was perfect. I am definitely returning to this spot often.
