Korean Sausage Breakfast was delicious! Reminded me of how my mom used to make it with sunny side up eggs, tomatoes, fresh cucumber. Yum.

Your food is too salty. I told you to cut down on the salt, and I also put a note on the "less juice" list, but it still hasn't changed at all.

To be honest, I was confused. I've studied past reviews and prepared myself well before visiting, only to find that the restaurant had a new menu, which was much shorter than what was previously posted, and the food that I was looking forward to try wasn't there anymore. Perhaps the cafe had a change of management, but I was willing to give it a try.We ordered the Bun Bo Hue and beef oxtail soup, considering that it was a rainy day in LA, and I wanted something to warm myself before bedtime. The two soup bowls came covered with saran wraps, and judging from the temperature, they had just been heated separately (the Bun Bo Hue was hot, while the oxtail soup was a bit lukewarm). I had to grab my own utensils and napkins from a different counter, as the tables in the cafe were devoid of any articles. The flavours were on the right notes. The Bun Bo Hue had a mild kick, and the noodles were a great feature of the dish. The dish came with a small cup of kimchi, but it was nothing to write about. The oxtail soup was great, the soup was refreshing and subtle, and the oxtails were tender. My only complaint was that I wished mine came in warmer. All in all, I'd come again for the food, either to savour the soups, or perhaps try other dishes, though there is more to a great dining experience than just good food.

Area = so-so bordering on dicey Bed = saggy AC = made odd noises thru the night Self Park = forces you to walk through the casino and guard can hassle you Bathroom Toiletries = mediocre Pros - Frig in room - Safe in room Some sites list this as a 4.5 star hotel, but it should be 3 to 3.5 at best. If you're getting a deal, it's okay for the money.

Stayed here only because friends and family lived near by and I didn't want to drive an hour each way to get here during my trip. The hotel is newly constructed and it definitely feels new, but oh man are the rooms very poorly built. There is soooo much noise you'll hear while staying here. Cleaning service loves to slam doors of the rooms they're coming in and out of so don't expect to get much sleep once they start cleaning neighboring rooms. I could also hear the people on the floor above me stomping around in their room - which I don't think I've ever had happen in a hotel. On my last night there I could literally hear the people in a room next to me having sex - thankfully it didn't last long. I couldn't even drown out the noise in this room with the usual loud air conditioning in hotel rooms because these rooms have some weak "efficient" AC unit that very slowly cools your room - I wouldn't think it can keep a room cool during the summer. There's also a weird dynamic between the hotel and "casino". Multiple times when I was walking around I was stopped by security guards asking me where I was going. I guess hotel patrons aren't allowed to walk around on the casino floor, or at least that's the vibe I got. So definitely don't stay here if you're hoping for a Vegas-lite experience. If you're familiar with this area you probably already know this, but I definitely wouldn't recommend staying here if your goal is to be able to walk around to nearby restaurants - especially not at night. It's a very sketchy area, and even the bar downstairs gets some undesirable patrons at times. The only city within 10 miles I'd recommend staying in is Cerritos, but I don't even think there are many hotel options there. The only good things I can think of are: - The valet is very good. It's text based so they text you a link that you can use to request your car in advance. I never waited more than a couple seconds at most when requesting as I was walking out of the room. - The bar is open late, and has a pretty solid beer selection on tap. Not much as far as vegan options though, which wasn't surprising at all really. - There's a proper Starbucks downstairs too which is fantastic.
