The service was fine. Restaurant was kept well enough. The food overall lacked flavor. I didn’t get but the faintest hint of lemon on my crispy lemon chicken.

My wife’s dish was fine as far as the chicken went but the veggies were pretty mushy.

Overall a solid value for the cost. About 16-18$ a plate.

Ordered the orange beef with broccoli. It was dry, flavorless and topped with one slice of orange and only one discolored broccoli floret. One of the worst Chinese meals I have ever had. Won't be going there again.

I was a bit reluctant because they weren't that busy, but the food was really good. I had the chicken fried rice and pad Thai. Both were large portions and plenty for two people. Service was excellent and our food came out really fast. I would definitely go back again.

Visited 4 times already. Server at front desk is never inviting or engaged. Have tried several dishes, nothing memorable. Spent time in other countries Food at this restaurant feels unauthetic and tastes bland.

Service is terrible 😑, server has to be flagged down for everything, server never bothers to check on guest to for anything. Would definitely avoid this altogether.

One of the best Chinese food spots in the desert. We make the drive to PD for PS at least once a month to dine here and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend the Cold Spicy Beef Platter.

Very good authentic Chinese food for a very reasonable price. Real food, not some ground meat. The waitress was very cordial and attentive to the customer's needs.

So surprised I could get authentic Chinese food around here! The food was delicious and brought home the comforts of home. The portions were perfect for visiting families. I didn't want to have leftovers to bring back to the hotel, but still feel that I got my moneys worth and belly full. The naming convention of the dishes was interesting, but I get it considering the general population they're serving.

We got the Mongolian beef, Singapore fried noodles, wonton soup, shrimp and pork fried rice, and the spicy shredded potato. I would have totally ordered more, but it would have just been gluttonous. Like the calamari, the beef noodle soups, the veggies… drool.

The service was quick and friendly. The establishment small but plenty of table and booth options. They can totally accommodate larger parties. In fact there was a table of 8-10 ppl when we first arrived.

One thing to note is that the menu items are also on the wall. But the names of the dishes are hard to see clearly, so you may have to walk up closer or just look through the menu.

Anyway…well definitely come back when we’re in the area next.

Pleasantly Surprised—Definitely Worth a Visit and added to my favorites on the area! I noticed some low reviews / hate on Yelp and almost skipped this place, but digging a little deeper I realized many of the 1-star reviews came from users with no photos, few friends, and only a handful of reviews—which often says more about the reviewer than the restaurant. So I gave it a try, and I’m glad I did.

Da Chef has a quaint, mom-and-pop vibe that worked nice for me. The space was clean, the booth was comfortable, and my server was kind and attentive. The menu is a unique blend of Chinese/Cantonese and dim sum with a few Korean and Thai-influenced dishes sprinkled in. The menu and the walls are full of photos, which definitely tempted me to over-order—with to-go boxes in mind, of course.

The braised beef noodle soup was decent, with a good amount of beef and a nice flavor with some cabbage, but a bit heavier on noodles than I expected and the broth leaned bland but it still worked, but I’d probably explore a different soup next time.

The spicy cold noodles were a total win—super flavorful with green onions, cilantro, and fresh peanuts in a mild red pepper and peanut oil base. Would absolutely order again.

The mushu pork was another standout—rich flavor with a hint of fresh ginger in a few bites. Loved it.

For the quality and quantity, the prices were very reasonable. I’ll definitely return. If you’re in the area, it’s worth adding to your list.
