Atmosphere: Crazy place with a collection of canned characters.
Saw one lady slap a drink out of her husband's hand.
Service: One server was rude in an almost comical, bless her heart, way! The other one was really sweet.
Food: My surf/turf was so-so. Lobster was good but ribeye was 1/2 fat (not marbled) & I ordered med-rare but came out well done! Fish & chips so-so. Fries were good but fish was an overcooked thick batter hockey puck.
We ordered two Cokes that was it. It cost $8.00 for two simple cokes. If it was t for the great attitude of the bartender that poured us our drinks I probably would have left. AmPM can sell a 40 oz coke for $.99 cents all day long but fir some reason a come at a local bar is now $4.00 plus you have to leave a tip so round it off to $5.00. A cold beer is cheaper then a coke. What is wrong with this picture. . Sometimes it's not always about profit but taking care of the customer...
Rusty Porthole is like a window in time. I changed in all the decades I’ve been going there. Simple bar food. But tasty. The bartender was great, friendly and helpful. There was live music after lunch. Water view nice.
