Great setting in the heart of Rodeo, but the service was unpleasant. Our waiter would not let us order appetizers with our cocktails. He stated the chef required the full order (appetizers and entrees) to go in at the same time. We told him we knew what appetizers and cocktails we wanted and we would put the entree orders in after we had appetizers. NOPE! Not allowed by the chef. The restaurant wasn't that busy (plenty of empty tables) so there was no reason for a rush so that the tables could be turned over! We were there to have cocktails, great conversation and take some time to enjoy appetizers before ordering. Because he was trying to high pressure us to place a full order before he would put anything in the system, we opted for ONLY having a few drinks and told him we would ONLY be doing appetizers and LEAVING. We had a much more pleasant experience with the ability to order at any pace down the street at the alley. Too bad for 208 as we would have spent a lot more money if the chef's policy (or a made up pressure tactic by the waiter) was to allow guests to enjoy the overall experience.
We've been regulars at this restaurant for quite some time, so I was really disappointed with our last visit. We sat on the patio, and there were so many small bugs (similar to fruit flies) that it made it hard to enjoy our meal. Our server also made the experience frustrating. Both my daughter and I ordered the 208 burger (one of our favorites), but he kept insisting that I try the steak instead, saying it was the same price. After going back and forth, I reluctantly agreed just to move things along. Unfortunately, the bugs got worse, so we asked to be seated inside. The server only checked on us once after that — to bring the bill — and to my surprise, the steak was not the same price as the burger. I left feeling disappointed and unheard, which is unfortunate since this has always been one of our go-to spots. I really hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses both the patio issue and staff attentiveness.
Seldom do I fill out surveys but this one is knawing at me as my husband and I decided to revisit 208 Rodeo for a quick, hopefully not to fattening weekday meal. We got over the fact that the previous visit left us with some unresolved feelings when we were charged $4.50 for each "refill" of ice tea w/o the waiter mentioning their "new" policy. The waiter asked whether we wanted flat or sparkling water. I ordered flat for the two of us. We then ordered drinks and the waiter asked if we would like some bread while we decided. We both said "no" as we eat lighter during the week than weekends. As we were enjoying our cocktails I noticed a large bottle of Evian water on the table. I was given the choice of flat or sparkling although I later did hear the a different waiter gave the next table a choice of table water also. Then when my husband ordered a hamburger the waiter said "you may as well order the steak". My husband asked how much it was and he said something like $140!!! This waiter must have thought this was our first time in a restaurant! This entire experience made us feel taken advantage of. P.S. We were charged for the Evian but it was taken off the bill when my husband told the waiter we were not given the choice of Evian, just flat or sparkling. Our desire for a relaxed dinner to unwind was thrown to the wolves!

Charging for a glass of hot water, charging 26 dollar for adding 3 scallop to our calamari dish with telling us.
This is our go-to place when we are in Beverly Hills.... Their food is fantastic and their food is perfection. Also, important to mention their incredible staff. Their waiter, whose name is slipping my mind is absolutely fantastic. He's the guy writing a manuscript right now... Also, one of their assistant's named Gucci really takes pride in his job and make sure you have a fantastic experience... Will be back next week

excellent location and great service. It is great place to have a lunch with your friends and a family.
“I was at Rodeo208: the atmosphere was great, but in the end they cheated me with the prices. The menu has one price, but when I paid they charged me extra for each supplement, which they didn’t warn me about. In the end I paid much more than I expected.”
