Unlike most other Alfred coffee locations in the area, the staff here at BH doesn’t seem to know or care about the difference between a flat white, a cappuccino or a Gibraltar. You’ll get whichever one they feel like making, instead of what you order. Based on my 5 orders over the last month at this location.

Came in today to grab a cup of Joe and pick up a too good to go bag on my way to work. And I quickly remembered why my family and I stopped stopping by here. I walked in granted maybe about 20 minutes before closing I was not greeted or asked if I needed help as I was waiting for about five minutes at the pick up counter. All the employees granted were busy doing whatever they were doing, but the barista closest to me. Who’s later name I learned was Kevin, did not come off friendly at all. Now I get it maybe he was annoyed because there were a small group of people and myself walking in about 20 minutes before closing but still nonetheless Kevin should have at least said hello. The drinks here are always good and like I’ve said it before And my other Alfred review reviews, Alfred gives fantastic to get to go bags. But the customer service here has always been terrible. I hope Kevin was able to enjoy the rest of his day and possibly has a day off tomorrow.

Got a “surprise bag” filled with the most stale and hard to bite “food” I ever had. I don’t think anyone would be able to eat this, it wouldn’t even suit rats or squirrels. This bagel looks and smells like plastic.

Well this was an interesting coffee run. I stopped in and as I was waiting in line, the cashier approached a man asking him to leave or she’d call the police. Long story short the police come, the shop was packed and we all moved out of the way while the police point their taser at him. We all watched in silence as they eventually convince the man to turn around, and they arrest him and escort him out. It was pretty terrifying. The baristas kept working and no one said a thing. After the man was escorted out they just acted like nothing happened. I think the shop would have benefited from apologizing to the customers, maybe offering a free drink for their experience. I know it wasn’t their fault what happened but it certainly impacted the experience. The manager handled the situation calmly, and I got the impression this wasn’t the first time this has happened, but it definitely impacted the day for everyone in there.

Visiting from Toronto, Canada and I truly enjoyed my visit to Alfred Coffee. Located not to far from my hotel The Maybourne and makes for a good morning walk.
Rob was amazing in the short time we got to chat and made me feel at home. Atmosphere is great as there's lots of seating and visually appealing items located throughout the store.
Highly recommended if you're seeking a neat coffee shop nearby.

Awful. Baristas are rude, cold, and don’t want to serve! You ask for the WiFi, cold answer, ask a question cold answer. WiFi doesn’t work. Awful vibes. Stay away.

not the busiest Cafe I've been to but the Uber orders were out of control where it kind of affected the time I got my coffee even though there was no line and I ordered right away I swear we still have to wait wait a while to receive our to americanos and one iced latte because I swear there was like eight Uber orders that had to be ready for pickup. it seems like they had the design and architecture and functional space laid out pretty nicely but still there was a sense of there was an element missing that had me questioning why a place with such a good location and space layout could make me feel this way and it might be the vibe of the employees or it might be the the beverage refrigerator with semi 711 drinks but I was looking for more. another thing to know is that this place even though you want to dine in they don't have any glass or ceramic vessels for your drinks. which made me not feel wanted to enjoy my holistic morning ritual here sitting down where I should feel at home all this review and I haven't even took a sip of my coffee yet which right now my first sip of this iced latte is tremendously delicious the Americano I got is even more delicious than I could ever imagine a smooth medium roast Bean that actually taste like a French press how oddly satisfying

Excellent new Espresso Cloud Cream! Heavenly coffee based beverage!
I got a lemonade and I didn’t like it I then asked the lady to change it to me she was upset she didn’t say a word to me but she changed the drink. I didn’t like her way of looking at me and also not saying anything back to me was kinda rude, she also aggressively through the cup in the trash. Bad service. If you don’t want to change my drink just say it.

Had a lovely oat matcha latte here, super friendly customer service and a cute shop in a convenient location. The prices are pretty up there but I found that to be typical in LA.

The vanilla latte was good, but service was really slow. The staff were talking to each other, laughing and that way they were even slower with our orders. I also ordered burrito for which we waited 20 minutes and when we asked them for it they started making it then.
