Cute Greek spot in Beverly Hills with seafood focus. Came here with my parents and cousin for dinner and we made a reservation in advance. We shared the Avra salad as well as calamari (which you have the option to have grilled or fried, although given how much this family loves fried food, we opted for the latter). They provided complementary pita bread and hummus, and they have their own olive oil at the table, which was fun to try. I had the scallops for my entree; it’s on the smaller side but it came with plenty of spinach and sauce. My cousin’s fish was huge; you can opt to pick your own fish based on what you’re feeling and there’s a selection available on display at the back of the restaurant. My mom’s clam linguini was the best in my opinion; I would recommend that. We split the baklava for dessert at the end and it was just the right amount of sweet. Our server was super friendly and checked in frequently.

This place was packed when we visited, but we were lucky enough to find a table. The server was very polite and helpful (side note: we are Greek - born and raised, and still living in Athens. So the bar is already pretty high for us, since we have experienced the real deal). Now, to cut to the chase... The amount of money the food cost us was extremely high for the quality of food we were served. Yes, about 50% of the dishes were pretty tasty, but the rest were just not something I would order again. Highlight of the meal we're the lambchops, which weren't even prepared the Greek way! Lol The location of the restaurant is definitely one of the main things you're being charged for, but it would be nice if the food matched the ambiance/fanciness of the whole thing.

Avra is always an amazing dining experience. The food is incredibly fresh and full of flavor. especially the seafood, which is consistently top-quality. The atmosphere is elegant yet welcoming, and the service is attentive without being overbearing. Everything from the appetizers to the desserts is beautifully prepared and delicious.

We were excited to try this place, but it was disappointing. The salmon and swordfish were bland, the hummus tasted like it came from a Vons box, and we waited nearly an hour for our food. For the price, it just wasn’t worth it — extremely overpriced and nothing special. The only decent item was the salmon tartare.

Most consistent, solid option in BH. Never had a bad meal or bad service. Every time I am in town it’s the go to for at least one meal. My local clientele have surprised me by picking Avra for business lunches.

Magnificent across the board with its beautiful space, sharp dressed perfectly attentive staff, and delicious food. My favorite type of meal is a set menu because it’s a great way to experience a whole meal planned out. So of course it was my choice. All the food was perfection, grilled octopus, big eye tuna tartare, whole fish, roasted lamb and orange cake. The Greek wine was wonderful and the Venus cocktail perfectly balanced. Beginning to end it was superb.

Had a wonder lunch here hosted by some business colleagues & friends. The atmosphere is open and feels very relaxed and comfortable. I highly recommend the sushi starters.
